    3rd try

    Scum team: Math/Rubi

    Reasons: Rubi: inconsistent voting/tunneling follow through. Can't follow why he seemingly switches targets at whim, but I suspect it follows the overall trending town view. Need to look back to be sure.

    Math: Tone change in posts. Thought it was because of Titus but it has continued. Organizing votes on people that she thinks could be seen as scummy by enough people to carry through. Eager to lead wagons, possibly due to town's posted suspicion of people that join wagons mid or late. Also doesn't seem concerned about NK anymore.

    Great *sigh* ......

    @Riley: Anyway to get an extension just for Atum since the board broke? Although I'm not really convinced this isn't a scum play. You are way too calm about it.

    Explain to me in words how I should have conveyed my frustration. Actually don't. I'm trying to get my reads out and instead of posting a bunch of expletives, decided to suck it up and summarise. Your reasoning is starting to slip. Might be scum trying to set up a wagon, might be bias.

    Atum what changed your mind on me? I mean I know you unvoted me but your reasoning seemed more along the lines of you still disagreed but wanted a better read on others as opposed to thinking me supertown Supreme

    Uhm these reasons are bullshit....
    1) Rubicon pretty much tunnelled Citrus all day yesterday even had a flame war. I think he's scum to but at least my reasons that have been posted previously are shit.
    2) Tone change? Your entire argument is meta? Fuck that. Been scumhunting the whole time. And damn forward I'm eager to lead wagons because I want the scum gone. The wagon I lead ika helped town to actually discuss shit and the other wagons I wanted to lead, you and Rubicon are still my top scumspects. What a shame...I'm playing the game and with actual thought with reasons with posts attached.

    And I am VERY concerned about the night kill. Hence why trying to get town as much info as possible. That way if I do die they can carry on.

    Unfortunately I can't give extensions as I've already given four hours which is two more than normal.

    Plus that's kinda unfair to scum.

    Night 3 ends at this time.

    In any fucking way possible that is you....It sounds like you were just fucking stalling and I'm sick of your indecisiveness which is a scum trait because they want to lynch anyone who is a townie and that they can do with indecisiveness.

    I don't think you're anywhere near conf!town to me, but your response to my vote was good. Attacking my argument instead of just pointing out perceived problems in my play, or at least that's what I'm remembering now. I think before I had an impression of you as somewhat only mildly active whose posts didn't offer all that much content, but your activity seems to be up and you're scum hunting everyone else. I wanted a response and I got it. And I got better suspects so...

    After being poked multiple times for his reads, Atum lists me as scum. But then his reasons are absolute crap. I defend myself by explaining his reads are crap and he says I'm far from town and has better suspects plural. This means his readwall was useless for players in twilight since he had only two suspects, eliminate me and this leaves one suspect. This means he was making a fake wallread before.

    So let's assume for a second that I am not conf!town in his mind and he has multiple suspects. His only lie would have been the readwall which means he wants to put on the idea that he is town when he is not. The only reason to hide stuff from town at this point is if you are scum. Period. I've explained it over and over again that townies help each other. Since he won't help town he is most likely scum, or at this point, if we don't lynch him it's a stupid town move. If on the off chance that he flips town we've had waaaaaaaaaay too much scummy play from players here. We need to look at trying to unify ourselves as one cohesive unit. The more we bicker the more scum wins.

    Now let's look at the Terraine kill. This is slightly unexpected on the surface. Sloth and I were better kills as we are very protown but that did not happen. Let's look at why. The first argument is WIFOM. By lynching me or Sloth the town almost certainly would go after Atum. So they had to go for the next best suspect. Terraine has been rather quiet but just started picking up on Atum's scumminess and that he's lying in his reads.

    https://forums.darklordpotter.net/showthread.php?p=724929#post724929

    Her last post was questioning Atum's reads. Putting this together with his unreal readwall which at best is a gambit and at worst is scum the cards say we have to lynch Atum.

    The other thing is Terraine is where Atum wanted the lynch to go last time. Terraine was wanted dead by scum for some reason (other than being town): see https://forums.darklordpotter.net/showpost.php?p=724125&postcount=1269

    Atum never really posted a decent argument as to why. Furthermore, he doesn't try to prove Terraine's like he says in his last post is good town play he went for the perceptions. This leads me to believe there was something in Terraine's post in day one/two that spooked the scum and since Terraine was an irregularly active player it seemed to be "safer".

    Alright then, new day and I'm done reading through the stuff I missed D3. I made a list of things that either stood out as scummy or made me upset if I'm being honest. If you've got questions I didn't answer or something I'd really appreciate a link or something, since trawling through posts has become a lot more labor-intensive.

    @Mathblade:

    Let me start by saying that the double standards I saw reading through your posts were astounding, as were the inconsistencies. The most glaring to me was your purported dislike for "gut" feelings as reasoning. However, you've made several references to "[feelings] in your stomach" and posts giving you "the heebie jeebies." These weren't for reads, but still it kind of weakens your statement about those gut feelings in my eyes.

    Then there's you telling me to be decisive. Let me point out the parallel between you dictating to me how to post and Titus doing the same to you D2. You remember your incredibly emotional reaction to that? The turnaround is astounding. You repeatedly talk about players being supposedly conf!town, but this is Mafia. As Sloth said a while back, everyone is a suspect until a mod confirmation. You trying to say that certain players are definitely town to you both reads as buddying and hinders gameplay as in the event that you're incorrect, which seems entirely possible giving the ml's we've suffered thus far, you're really just holding yourself back. Assuming you're town, which I don't believe at this point.

    Basically I see two distinct possibilities:

    1) You're suffering confirmation bias to such an extent that anything I post can and will be twisted to fit the view of the game you espouse as certain.

    2) You're scum. You're mudslinging at me to have a scummy townie for Town to focus on and eventually mislynch.

    The ONLY thing I am sure about in this game is that I'm town and every dead player is town. That and the fact that there are two wolves still alive. You can try to game the system that's been set up in order to get more "confirmed" facts, but the fact of the matter is that we lost that chance when they got Lyrium.

    You also mention several times that lynching me will give Town good information. Apparently better than either Citrus or Sloth, one of whom you seemed sure was a wolf. When I flip town, what information will that be? And in the interest of discussion, what would that information be if I flipped scum?

    @Sloth:

    I think Snowvon pointed it out a while ago, but I'd like to return to the topic of double standards in this game. This isn't just for you Sloth, but your comment on me admitting to skimming was at the top of the list I made so whatever. Actually, it's a pretty small issue, but I noted that when I point out I skimmed a post I got an addition to the case you're attempting to build as to why I'm scum. Snowvon does the same thing in #1358 and nada. Citrus asked why I'd let some of Snowvon's behaviour slide when I've got no previous experience with his play, but the answer to me is obvious. THIS IS MY FIRST GAME HERE, or on any other site that offers a prolonged mafia experience. That means, that when I entered the game, my first impression of Snowvon was the same stuff everyone's now pointing out as scummy, except on the first roll everyone was cool with it and accepted it. So I did the same. Unlike ika's stuff I didn't find it particularly annoying so I just let it be and moved on.

    Sidetracked a little there, but back to double standards. I pointed out some of Math's earlier but another for you was the issue of my "sassy" post to ika. Now, with TerRaine, you tossed out some reasoning as to why her tone might be like that and neglected to do the same for me. I'll spare you the effort. I didn't like ika's posts, they came off as mildly condescending to me, and in concert with the stuff Titus was doing (leading me to vote TerRaine with her and just running roughshod over the game in general) I got frustrated. Unlike the issue with my browser (this is for you MathBlade) I could express that frustration to its cause. So I did.

    Similar tone issue was brought up by MathBlade, this time over the "anxious desperation" she got out of my Maiden post N1. Let me remind you all that this is a GAME. At the end of the day, the most I can feel about this game is frustrated that things aren't going well, or happy we got the scum. Guess which way I'm trending now. MathBlade, I'm pretty sure this was another case of bias/mudslinging, but I cannot understand for the life of me how you got desperation out of that post. It's entirely inconsistent with my behaviour thus far and my position on Maiden, who was a weak scumread for me, exceeded by far by ika.

    @Everyone: Can someone please explain how both "defensiveness" and "self-awareness" came to be regarded as scum-tells? One is something both Town and Scum obviously use to stay alive through the game and the other is something some scientists argue separates humans from other species. While it may not be Town's main goal to stay alive, some of you guys seem awfully quick to dismiss and allow mislynches.

    @Sloth: You use the reasoning that any lynch, even ml's give good information to town and are another step toward catching scum. What you don't often mention is what that information is, how you use it, or how ml's hurt town. Just a thought.

    @Rubicon:

    I've got you down for NK focus at #1359, and an admission to that as well apparently (?). From what I understand that's a bit of a scum-tell or slip or something. Apart from that, I noted you distancing yourself from using Lyrium's town lean on you to townfirm yourself by claiming her wall wasn't even a read wall in #1400. This was after several people refuted your argument i.e. "back-pedalling." I also didn't like your post to Citrus, #1424, which I read as victorious, but not in keeping with the tone or mannerisms I've read from you thus far. So maybe the victory was getting Town to lynch its own, and you just gave it a nice facade? I'm not really sure, and with your number of posts, trying to find evidence and drawing comparisons is nightmarish. Suffice it to say you're on my watch list.

    @Monochrome/maybe!Delphine(?):

    I'm not sure what everyone's deal is with you switching your vote after my response, but I'll press for an answer on that front in case you've forgotten. Not much to say here, your scum hunting is present and doesn't seem to be confined to just players that the Town/Scum collective agrees are scummy so I lean town with you thus far.

    @Snowvon:

    I think your activity has gone down from D1 and even from the first roll. Not much effect since I can't really read you to begin with and your responses to others don't really do anything for me. At this point you're almost totally null to me, so I'll do the obligatory request for more activity, even if it is a touch hypocritical after my performance D3.

    I didn't address everyone, but this is where my head is right now. Let's focus back up and win this game, because if we get taken down by two people I'm honestly going to be a bit embarrassed, no matter how much experience the scum team has.

    Okay, so what changed your Snowvon read from wanting to lynch him (#503) to putting him as one of your strongest town-reads (#1108) to saying "I'm not sure what would town firm you more in my eyes other than mod confirmation" (#1276) to calling him "almost totally null" in the above quote?

    @Rubicon: I said I wanted to lynch him as part of an ika/Snowvon scum team based on games I've played before. Obviously longer possible.

    By #1108 I wasn't seeing the same interaction between the two of them and my scum read on Snowvon was based on his association with ika.

    The quotation fron #1276 is used out of context, since I explain what I meant by calling Snow a slight town-read based on gut. Back in #1108 he's a stronger townread due to the fact that I had stronger scumspects, but by then ika was killed and TerRaine I wanted to pressure.

    Now it's pretty simple, after misreading a couple people, I'm less willing to associate people as likely town in my head. For Snow, that means that while I don't see any behavior that screams town, the things I've seen cited as scummy in reference to his posts I don't find sufficient to label him lean!scum, especially without more experience playing with him or content here. So null until I notice something I missed, someone presents a good argument, or he gets mod confirmed.
