I'll repeat myself, because it warrants repeating. If you haven't read them, The Lie I've Lived and A Black Comedy. Someone also mentioned Gryffindors Never Die. The first two in particular are in the Fanfiction Pantheon because they're fucking masterpieces. I've read both several times and they never fail to make me spit my lungs out.

 

I totally agree with you, I love both of those fics and have read them countless times. That said I will try Gryffindor Never Die. Thanks for the suggestions.

How about some fics where the magics in focus are Runes, Arithmancy and Spell Creation? Or a fic where just one of the magics is in focus?

 

You can try RuneMaster. It is about Harry that is good with runes. I wouldn't put it even on almost recommended thread, but it was somewhat readable back when I read it first time.

Btw, author of that story has quite amusing opinion of DLP forums. Check out his profile .

 

I really want to read a badass Dumbledore, like in Sheeza's Denarian Trilogy. Are there any others like that out there, that have Dumbledore in some sort of mentor role to Harry, preferably?

Dumbledore is at least Harry's mentor in this one.

 

Dagger and Rose has some focus on runes, though it may not be the kind you think.

In Hogwarts Battle School there is a pretty awesome subplot of Harry creating a badass spell, but it's not the most important aspect of the story, it focuses on other things. Still, a good read.

I don't know what's funnier about his rant - his brokenly broken English or his complete ignorance in regard to us.

And fuck this guy, we are the place of authority when it comes to HP, LOL. :awesome

Now are there any AU fics where voldemort takes over or took over and harrys going into hogwarts, like ice crux and prince of the dark kingdom but with a somewhat darker harry

 

I wanted to read a story where Harry leaves Britain while Voldemort is still alive. He comes back after some time. Either voluntarily or is forced. But he must be a BAMF. Any out there?
