It's fantastic. Lots of 'phwoar!' moments too.

Where would you rank it amongst the other X-Men films?

3rd or 4th. Behind the original X men and First class.

Opinions are opinions and all that, but you're just wrong.

    The original didn't have Fassbendgneto.

Yeah, but it did have Sir Gandalf Magnellan.

This one has him too. The superior is clear.

That isn't so much an indictment of Sir Ian McKellen as it is praise for Fassbender - at least that's not what I intended.

Here's my quick review of Days of Future Past:

Acting: Average. Nothing spectacular, but neither were there any cringe-worthy moments. I'm not on the Jennifer Lawrence hype train, but she stole the show in terms of acting I felt. I wish Tyrion Lan- err Peter Dinklage had more to contribute, but don't mind.

Special effects/Action: Average. There were several moments that were very cool, (Quick Silver's scene where he takes out the guards is delightfully humorous), but for the most part I felt that the action scenes were just there. They were not...fun? Is that a good word for it.

Story: Once more Average. The execution of the plot was well done and while there were moments that felt a little like too much of an info-dump especially near the beginning, I never felt confused throughout the movie. The character development is where the movie falters I believe. I just could not get emotionally invested in really any of these characters. There was too much happening to really care about the characters.

All in all, I would give the movie a 3.5. It is not great, but a decent time waster with more plot than a crappy action movie so it's a good watch. That said, of the Super Hero movies released so far this year I would call this one the weakest. So 3.5/5 for me.

    Miscellaneous comments: "D'at Ass."

JFK is a mutant. Fuck yeah.

So...three strippers, their pimp, and a sex doll maker? That's what the names sound like to me.

A robotics boy genius, a chef, a ninja with energy powers, a blonde girl with a magic purse, a dude who turns into godzilla, and a squishy robot.

That is very, very unexpected news because Wright and Marvel were working on this movie for years (since 2006). What differences could suddenly appear to split them up when they were about to start shooting it?

Rumors are Wright was taking too long.

Edit: Singer is complaining about X-men being compared to Avengers since `X-men are the bastard stepchild of marvel.` And Disney has the unfair advantage of having Iron Man.

Disney has the unfair advantage of owning everything. I would literally drown in my own sexual secretions if Darth Vader was the secret optional boss of Kingdom Hearts 4.

If they don't want X-Men to be compared to the Avengers, then maybe they should stop trying to pull an Avengers and just let the X-Men do X-Man things. It doesn't help that they literally ruined Deadpool and did everything in their power to shit all over any redeeming qualities movie continuity Wolverine had when they gave him his own film.

I don't understand how he can complain when he was in charge of Marvel's biggest franchise. He decided to make Rogue, Jean, Storm, Scott all dull as dishwater to focus on Wolverine. And that for years all of the above were more popular than Tony Stark before the Iron Man movie.

X-men could have had a X-Force, New mutants, X-statix or X-factor movie any time they wanted but they squandered it for Moar Wolverine every time.

The wolverine movies should have been R rated, full gore activated!
