So, we know wandless magic is possible, usually described as a wave or motion with the hand or fingers. And we know nonverbal spells are also possible, apparently by thinking an incantation in your mind, rather than saying it out loud, which is faster.

But is is possible to cast a wandless, nonverbal spell without any movement whatsoever? For example, staring at a pile of wood and just like willing it to ignite with an incendio spell minus any movement from your hand or fingers?

Those are all specifically mental magics, with no physical effects. I mean things like accio, incendio, avis, incarcerous, etc.

There's no reason it wouldn't be possible. There's probably just no point in doing it if it adds any difficulty to the spell considering there is very little benefit to it.

I can't remember the exact quote, but I could've sworn he waved his wand at the dresser to ignite it.

Alright, assuming it can be done, for incendio or incarcerous for example, would the flame just appear on the firewood, or would a flame appear in the air before you and fly towards the wood.

And with incarcerous, same question. Would the ropes appear around the target or appear in front of you and then fly towards the target?

There is no reason that the spell would act differently just because you don't move when you cast them. As far as I know Incendio just makes something go on fire, there is no fire projectile that goes between you and the object, it just makes it go on fire. Incarcerous does send ropes flying towards the person from your wand so I imagine it would still do that.
