Let's just say that this is not a fix-fic. If the circumstances demand it, nobody will be safe. That said, it's not canon either, where just because your name happens to be "Stark" and you're not a complete scumbag, you're gonna die.

 

He'll be in the capital of Seven Kingdoms that already has such fascinating characters like, Melisandre, R'hllor devout Cersei and messiah Joffrey. I don't see him getting out of there without serious injury if at all.

I mean, if you have Joffrey prancing with a title like: Harbinger. Then I doubt it'll be kittens he will cut open.

 

What are you gonna do about the Kelly C side of the plot? I mean, this Robert is even less likely to be swayed to sparing her and her brother, not with the likes of Tywin advising him.

Oh, and what's Varys' role in the overall plot? Is he still there?

 

Kelly C? I'm not quite sure which sibling pair you mean, as there are a lot of them that Robert wants out of the picture. Needless to say, he'll not suffer threats to his throne.

As for Varys...well, he's doing his thing behind the scenes, as always.

 

Kelly C/Khaleesi = Daenerys

 

Robert has no love for her, certainly, and no problem with assassinating her. Whether that assassination attempt works or not, though...

 

Also, gotta ask, but who is Jorah's wife in the story? The same Hightower woman that it was in canon? I'm asking because the timeline of that wouldn't exactly fit and Jeor or Maege mentioned she was already pregnant.

 

He had a Glover wife, she died in labor.

God damn it, I can understand that some authors get just bursts of inspiration and feel compelled to write down something, but for the love of everything finish what you're writing already, and don't start something new all of a sudden. I just want "Times Like These" to have a definite conclusion.

Also, does anyone actually read ASOIAF fiction looking for Arianne Martell stuff? I mean, yeah, after she shows up in the GoT show, we can expect an increase with fics that feature her, but otherwise, no one really cares about her, as far as I can tell. Her 'cunning' plans remind me of Baldrick from Black Adder.

 

The show better do her nips justice

 

I always liked Arianne. She seems more like your typical fantasy heroine in a society that doesn't try to crush women's spirits quite so much. Wouldn't mind reading about her more.

 

I'm a bit hesitant to rec this one, but I figured hell with it. I like it enough to read new updates even if a lot of the story is a guilty pleasure.

The Many Faced God Must Have his Due

It's an uber!Arya story, and the author has added a year or two to her age. She comes back to Westeros having trained under the Faceless Men for a while. She's tasked with assassinating Aegon, but then fluff happens.

I like it mostly because it's a story about the Stark's making a comeback after everyone thought them extinct. Arya is a bit overpowered due to her training under the Faceless Men (like no one can beat her in a sword fight, change her face at will, knows poisons etc), but I guess those abilities fall within the universe. The author needs to work on some punctuation in the dialog, but I was able to ignore that. If you can stomach the fluff between Aegon & Arya then you should be fine reading this.

Also: Has anyone ever seen any fics where Aerys accepts Tywin's offer to marry Rhaegar to Cersei? I was wondering what kind of changes such a marriage would bring.
