I wouldn't call it offensive when terrible is the word I'm looking for.

Is Dumbledore (his mother must have been a Jew) the leader of a masonic plot to put the international Jewry in power over the Wizarding World? Voldemort is simply an aryan freedom fighter?

    ....

Really? ... Like, seriously guys... Really?

Voldemort can't possibly be aryan, not with that face.

It would be a funny exercise to write a serious communist!Harry story. I mean, with magic, you almost have the means to negate all Capitalistic modes of production. If only magical food were nutritious... With infinite resources in the form of magic, you could establish a system of equal resources for all, nullifying the necessity of government. The conflict would be... well, Wizards are irriational and wouldn't quite understand Harry's "logical" ideas. It could also be rather funny -- and any story which seriously tries to convey any perspective of communism is bound to be popular, just because every Westerner and their brother has their own opinion on it. And it would naturally be violent, if Harry tried to spread communism, he could become targeted by various governments, which would be a more interesting physical conflict than Voldemort in many ways.

I also had a fun idea where Voldemort was a communist, but in a more Mao Tse Tung kind of way - Voldemort seizes control of the UK magical community and establishes laws on reproduction, labor, etc. to try and do a "great leap forward" and "save magical UK from squibdom". I don't think I could pull an idea like this off though...

Oh and this story? Idea's not bad, but my god, if this kind of writing were deemed acceptable, I'd be ashamed to link DLP anywhere.

I found the premise amusing it's clearly a parody although the execution is a bit lacking. The author is obviously not a marxist - lack of abuse of the word 'dialetic' is a dead give away.

As someone who is a socialist the concept made me chuckle - haven't read the whole thing yet but solely disappointed Dumbledore was revealed to be Libertarian - he should have been a social democrat that would have really wound Harry up (clearly Dumbledore is the Kautsky to Harry's Lenin).

To improve the authenticity Harry needs to start calling people 'renegades' and publishing polemics in the daily prophet. There needs to be a reference to 'an Infantile Disorder' and 'The Transitional program' and there has to be an argument about democratic centralism ending in a dramatic schism. He needs to start name dropping people like Gramsci, Clara Zetkin and James Cannon only then will he be a true marxist.

Too short to really develop the jokes as well as it could and too obnoxious to justify the little snippets that constitute chapters. 1/5.

It would be great if the forum had some means by which you could signal your agreement with or liking of a post so that you didn't have to make banal "me too" style posts.
