Right, this recent thread about Dementors and the like reminded me of a story where Harry is listening to a Dementor describe various sexual acts that were performed by some Ministry employee and how delicious those memories are for him.

Anyone know decent stories that have Harry and Voldemort team up for reasons that at least appear to make sense? I know it would be hard to write that kind of story. Do you guys know any good evil/questionable-morality!Dumbledore fics? I suppose AU or dimension hopping would be the best bet. By good I mean something that a DLPer can read without a red x finger jerk reflex.

 

That's surprisingly good, even if I only read the first chapter so far.

And now I'm retracting what I said. The fic was only good until Hermione showed up in it. Dropped like a sack of potato in front of an angry Irishman.

Look up "Catharsis", Himuradono already linked it for me, the Dumbledore there fits the questionable-morality clause.

People seem to have liked it, even though it played heavily into the Greater Good territory. I have a few rants on the subject somewhere, too, but I'm lazy to look those up.

I'm trying to find a specific Harry/Hermione story. The most vivid scene I can recall from it involves a shopping trip Harry invites Hermione and her mother on. Hermione believes herself to be plain looking and Harry takes it upon himself to place her in front of a full-length mirror in the clothing store. Harry meticulously counters each "plain" feature of Hermione with his own personal perception, by the end of his demonstration/explanation of her physical attractiveness she is softly crying. Hermione's mother watched the entire interaction secretively from a distance.

I'm pretty sure the beginning of this story took place during the summer before the Goblet of Fire, but I can't be certain about that. I've scoured my favorites list and the various stories I've saved with no luck finding a story with this particular scene. Any help?
