Nah, I've gone 6 Rod Of Ages on Le Blanc once and carried the game like 20/2/15 or something. It kinda works

 

That is EXACTLY my situation. I played like crazy for about 2 months this season, got to D5 then stopped altogether except for the 1 game a month I need to not drop. Lost all enthusiasm.

 

Going back to my roots finally gave me some much needed wins and gave some space between me and 0 LP.

Anyone who said that support can't carry clearly hasn't played Nami.

Because slow + health in bronze will win games like no one's business. Aoe slow every 25 seconds will win team fights.

 

Er, a 15% slow in a pretty small radius is like absolutely nothing. Especially when he has no good way to get into the middle of the enemy team.

 

Anyone have any tips for getting out of Gold V?

I managed to work my way out of Bronze 3 and hit Silver 5 at the beginning of S4. Got into Gold some months ago and just stalled at Gold V. I'm a bit frustrated because I don't think I'm improving all that much anymore. I think the highest I've gotten is 75 LP before falling again.

 

Duo queue?

A lot of streamers seem to think that there isn't much difference in skill between silver and gold. So probably the best thing to do is either queue up with someone you know is good (so you have at least 2 competent people on your team) or just grind out the games.

I personally disagree with the idea that gold and silver are pretty similar. My mmr dropped because I was duo queueing for a while (and my friend is close to his actual skill level in leagues, so duo with him meanshe plays against better players than him) and then I just haven't been playing much. But there is a distinct difference for me when I get 2 or 3 gold players on my team vs all silvers.

 

The difference between silver 1 and gold 5 is the bit of luck it takes to go on a winning streak through promos. The same is true for the gap between any 2 divisions. For climbing I think the best way is to just focus on two or three champions, they don't have to be the ops, just whoever you are good at.

Also duoQ. That shit is op, especially if you play botlane. A botlane duoQ is the most op thing, next best is a solo lane/jungler combo.

 

Yeah, I screwed up my provisionals. I was 6-1, decided to duo queue with someone and went to 6-4. So it took my like another 40 games after that to reach diamond. I'm at like 36-12 right now, so exactly at 75% winrate. If I want to reach D3, I probably have to play another 15 games or so. Unless, I skip, which would drop that number in half. It's a bit too much for me :S And the difference between D3 and D5 isn't big anyways. Once I aim for D2/D1, I'd imagine that would take even more games as it'd be harder to stomp people.

 

You do have that slow, but I personally would recommend getting a Gauntlet instead if you want the slow. The stats fit Blitzcrank a bit better, and gives you a slow you can use multiple times besides the initial grab and maybe ult.
