Random realization: Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we're to believe Black Zetsu, then Kaguya is the Shinju, or the Shinju is her or something freaky like that, right? Like, they became one or something, when she ate the fruit, and the result was the Ten-Tails.

And the Bijuu are all a part of the Ten-tails, split up. It's 'children' to an extent. But Haagoromo also had a part there and the Bijuu even refer to him as 'Old Man.' Which would make him something along the lines of the second parent.

However...the Ten-tails is also Kaguya. And for all we know, maybe the Shinju itself is Hagoromo's father. And that would make the Bijuu all of their children.

Now that? That's some freaky incest, right there.

EDIT: Also, taking the White Zetsu into account basically means Kaguya is like, the biggest of Sluts. To have ever lived.

 

Something tells me that, that's to complicated to Kishi to come up with.

 

Trying to make sense of Kaguya timeline:

1)Kaguya ate the fruit, got freaky third eye, became all powerful warlord.

2)Somehow got knocked up(a story I love to read), gave birth to two boys.

3)After a while got tired of keeping peace(or wanted a zombie army), put everyone to sleep in mega genjustu.

4)Her son's seeing that, rebelled, and started actively fighting her.

5)To get back the chakra that they inherited from her, she transforms the life tree, in ten-tails.

6)Sage seals the ten-tails in him self, becomes first jinchūriki.

7)Her son's kill her, but not before she creates Black Zetsu.

While all of you are ragequitting over the assorted things you dislike, be it the rinnegan, the various forms of Rasengan, Kaguya's Rabbit ears that look more like blades, lack of cleavage and general lack of Sakura's boobs (this is a personal pet peeve atm), Harem jutsu in a fight, etc, etc.

Lets say Kishi's general trolling. Yeah, lets go with that.

Yes, you heard that right.
You want to know why?

1) The coming of Kaguya with a sufficiently loose history/backstory, opens the way for innumerable amount of crossover fanfiction. Some of which would have been ridiculous just based on the premise. Now, these will almost be semi-canon.
Ex: a) Naruto/LotR crossover. Kaguya is a lost Maiar/Valar. And continue from there.
b) A host of worlds/Universes which support demons, goddesses, etc.
c) I'm personally thinking of writing a Naruto/Warcraft 3 crossover.

2) With the appearance of Hagoromo, Time Travel is now Canon. Now, Naruto doesn't have to use some weird suicide Jutsu or fail at some complex Fuinjutsu to send his own spirit back in time. He's practically a thimble away from being near Hagoromo's power.

3) The Chakra system is now fully unlocked. As in, there are NO rules now. you can mesh it with any other magic/energy system of any other world/Universe.

I'm just waiting for this Naruto story line to decisively end so that better FF writers more talented than Kishi, can get started on them stories.

 

Those better fanfiction stories already exist, and we didn't need Canon to become as terrible as this for them to justify them slightly easier than before.

It's not like Kishi wrote this with fanfiction potential in mind and it's not like anything stopped you from writing those kind of stories before.

 

I'm pretty confident Hagoromo is either sort of immortal chakra spirit, not a time traveler.

Though tbh both are equally ridiculous.

Kaguya is the most boring antagonist ever. At least Madara blatantly trolled when he did cray shit, Kaguya is just a silent evil overlady.

But yeah, back to the point. Yes, I (Generic here. This doesn't mean I'm actually capable of writing anything good) didn't need canon to become this to write fanfiction before. Sure. But it would still require a LOT of suspension of disbelief on the part of the reader, for anyone to enjoy such a fic. Some things were just too far out there.

Tl;DR This just opens new doors for fanfiction, is all I'm saying.

As I came into after everything was redacted, no clue what was said; but yeah sometimes people make jokes in poor taste. If they recognize that and apologize as was done, then everything should be cool. Should the offended person harp on about in a hateful and aggressive manner despite being asked to just drop it, yeah I would consider the second person in the wrong here.

On topic: This was actually one of the best chapters in a while for me. Just getting to see the Edo Tensei guys doing stuff. That said I think Hagoromo is going to give the Edo Tensei's some more powerups to give to Sasuke and naruto. Just imo.

Really hated the Obito part. Like...to use this example....Naruto is often compared to Jesus cause he forgives people for the most grievous stuff and then force the villain to the way of good. Almost like Jailhouse religion. IN the case of Jesus though according to the Bible, it is internally consistent for Him to have that ability because he is the "son of God."

All Naruto has is some vague "Child of Prophecy?" How the crap is he able to be like this in a world full of hatred? It doesn't make sense to me. Goes against human nature IMO.

Edit cause funny thought: What if centuries from now in a post-apocalyptic world people find the naruto manga and treat it like the Bible? Or any fictions for that matter...
