Tite grabs my interest with Ichigo coming back to kick ass and not give a fuck about anybody's name, and then I manage to forget that it'll actually at least fifteen chapters for there to be anything approaching decent payoff on it.

I confused this for something that wasn't Bleach for a second there. My bad.

I agree with Raine. I thought that Ichigo would just stomp those assholes but I guess since they're similar to captains it would anti climatic if they didn't fight.

The two useless characters appear to highlight the bond with Ichigo despite the fact that they won't do shit.

Which brings about the question of why Innoue who was instrumental in Aizens play is now insignificant if her power is that strong.

Ishida is obviously going to pull a Gin. I hope he doesn't and Ichigo kills him but it won't so all this is just useless time wasting.

 

Inoue was captain bait and Ishida participated in some blood ritual he didn't know the repercussions of that's allegedly bound him to Yhwach.

 

So that's why all the Shinigami love Inoue, and Ishida entered into a blood binding gay marriage.

 

The Shinigami all love Inoue because she's Ichigo's obvious shipmate, and they'd like to one up Ichigo at least once, even if it means fucking his girl first.

Obviously not, as the first thing I said was a joke, and your response to it was also a joke.

But in a way, yes, I am. This arc is literally something I would have expected out of anime filler. So, for that matter, was the Fullbringer arc. That was anime filler as fuck.

I'm quite certain that Tite has more or less run out of ideas for a coherent plot, and he's just going to keep doing these filler arc-esque plots until he gets tired of doing them and wraps everything up with one. He might very well do it for this one, but I get the feeling there's still maybe one or two more left before that.

With that in mind? Yes. I'm positive he will ship them in the end.

He's not original enough to do anything else, and he's not classy enough to end it without an official romance being stated.

He may yet surprise me on that front, in which case I would be thrilled, but I doubt that particular turn of events very much.

And honestly, if someone smelled like semen, I'd just think they were really slutty, not that they were a guy.

 

I doubt anything significant is going to come of it, it's just a chance for Kubo to include a transphobic 'she's a man, baby!' gag.

Was the Royal Guard's strength ever directly compared to Yamamoto's? I know it's said that collectively they're stronger than the 13 divisions combined, but is it mentioned whether any of them match him on an individual level? Presumably Ywach and his flunkies are going to beat them pretty handily, as Ichigo still needs a big bad to pit himself against. Gonna be real irritated if Ishida turns into his major opponent.

 

Ishida deserves a power up tbh. He has been entirely irrelevant the entire manga, failing to defeat anyone noteworthy.
