I think that was a clone that got killed and the whole thing was a trick or something. Though the whole thing was a bit confusing.

 

Just reread the chapter on manga stream. It was a Naruto clone that got through in order to aid Obito and Sakura. The original is still waiting with all the other clones.

 

You are about to have a bad day when you say "I have to rely on you, Sakura." in a Naruto manga chapter. 100% guaranteed.

 

Obito is dead. Obvious foreshadowing from Sakura is obvious.

 

It could be that Naruto's body got actually destroyed but his soul and chakra went to Sasuke thanks to the aforementioned Ying-Yang connection they have. Thus what we get is Saruto! the final evolution.

Honestly it's getting boring with this back and forth with Naruto and Kaguya...

Ever since Naruto managed to complete Kage Bunshin, he left and went into solitude. It has only ever been a Kage Bunshin.
