Based on what the guys at Supernatural wanted to do, if anyone could out-Constantine Constantine, it would be Castiel.

But I think it's clear that Dresden can out-Constantine Castiel. On the other hand, if I wanted to watch someone out-Castiel Castiel, it would be Constantine, while if someone had to out-Castiel Constantine, it should be Dresden. However, I think Constantine could easily out-Dresden Castiel.

But even given all of this, I think Kolchak could out-Kolchak the lot of them; though Dresden would certainly out-Kolchak Castiel, I think it's safe to say Constantine would would out-Kolchak Dresden.

But there are also aspects of this 'supernatural detective' stuff running through Angel, and I'd say Angel could out-Angel Dresden and Constantine, though Castiel might be able to out-Angel Angel, while Angel would likely out-Kolchak Castiel, while Constantine and Dresden would out-Kolchak Angel.

But if you take it back to its real roots, I'd say de Grandin would likely out-de Grandin Castiel, but Dresden would would out-de Grandin de Grandin, while Constantine would out-de Grandin Angel...

But that's just how I feel.

We know dresden is a geek, and loves comics, any chance he has read the constantine comics, it would be cool if he attempted to mimic magics seen in them.

Constantine is one of those movies I'll almost always stop to watch, if I notice it's on TV, even though I have the DVD. I don't know why.

Even LeDouche couldn't fuck it up.

I haven't read the comic, so I can't speak to how authentic the movie is, beyond knowing Keanu neither looks nor sounds like the comic character... which I'm fine with.

Shit, that was better than most of the fan fic I've read so far, this year.

Though it's immensely off-topic, I love the Keanu Reeves version of Constantine. Especially more than the comics.

This looks brilliant, the movie was a entertaining if not a particularly nuanced portrayal of Constantine. Since I got bored of Supernatural around season 6 it would be nice to have a fresh monster hunting show. The trailer hits all the right notes, hopefully hey won't fuck it up.

It was confirmed that Constantine will not smoke in the TV show which is more or less like not letting Hannibal eat people.

I actually got paid 30 bucks to watch the pilot for this while I was in Vegas in April :b not too shabby; I actually think about it from time to time. I'm super interested to see if they make any casting changes.

    The pilot got leaked today.

Not bad. The female lead could be a lot better though.

So watched the pilot, loved it and John is every bit the manipulative asshole he should be but a question nags at me. Was that fucking Dr. Fates helmet in the cottage she was toying with? Because that would make me all sorts of happy.

The Constantine pilot was... okay. Dude doesn't really feel like comicbook JC though. He's just not snarky enough. Keanu's portrayal wasn't right either, but at least he got the snark down.

And I agree, the psychic girl is a bit of a dud.

Wow, she got killed off before the show even started. I'm pretty sure that's a record even for John.

Didn't read the comic book, the movie with Reeves was my first introduction to JC and I liked it enough to re-watch it a number of times.

The pilot was good enough that I want to see another episode, though, I think the ep. felt choppy at times and there was a lot of car action.

I loved the scene in the kitchen where the woman asks her mother about her father and we have granny making an appearance only to pull off the 'Grave Encounters' look(tar from the mouth). Grave Encounters trailer, pertinent scene.

I can't say I'll shed any tears over the change of the female lead character.

Comic book John has been shit for a long, long time. He used to be this ratty obscure guy obsessed with the occult that nobody listened to or believed that lived in a crappy apartment and made ends meet by doing exorcisms. Now he hangs out with the Justice League and does long distance calls to Dr. Strange during crossovers, and it's just not the same. They took Constantine off the dirty streets, which is who he is and where he belongs, and tried to make him something he isn't.

Lol, sounds a bit like a certain lovable, Chicago based Wizard.

Which came first?! (too lazy to wiki)
