They definitely are holding back with announcements this year. There is only one rumor about Keisha Castle-Hughes being one of the Sand Snakes and nothing else.

My guess is that they will make a reveal at SDCC, but before that happens I have one theory based on the casting list that did not include Aegon or Arianne, but included Trystane. What if they will turn Trystane into Aegon? Assuming that Doran doesn't have any children, it's not too much stretch that he would be willing to raise his sister's son as his heir and help him regain the throne if possible.

Once change for it to work would be that in the TV-verse Aegon needs to inherit his mother's appearance. And that would probably left Varys without a secret plan, but a possibility that they cut Aegon altogether does the same.

None of them looked too terrible to me, and the High Sparrow looks pretty much just how I imagined him. That guy should have no problems playing the crotchety old hard-ass that eventually outsmarts Cersei. Not that outsmarting the show's version of Cersei would be too hard.

 

I don't know, it kills my feeling that a certain theory would be used.

 

I have only a small problem with the Sand Snakes. Small because in the end what is important is how will play their roles, but for now none of them exactly fit my expectations.

But the big outrage among books fans will be the absence of Arianne.

 

So it's confirmed that she won't be included? Or are there still going to be other casting reveals?

 

There are going to be smaller castings, but this video introduces the biggest characters for the next season. If she was in, she would be in it unlike Griffs who, if they are included, will be kept as a surprise to the show viewers and can be announced later or Greyjoy brothers who may appear only for a little, having bigger roles in the future seasons.

 

Oooh, that'll be interesting. Victarion and Euron should be awesome. I had forgotten about them. Game of Pirates.

EDIT: And yeah, I imagined the Sand Snakes would be a bit, I don't know, darker? But they did get someone interesting-looking for Nymeria*. And Areo actually looks like the scary mofo he's supposed to be.

It was nice seeing new cast members but gosh were they 'happy to be part of it'.

Well Sand Snakes are... hmm... I'll withhold my judgment for now. But yeah...

 

Pretty sure the combined Quentyn and Arianne, calling him Doran's heir when Arianne's entire fucking character is her whining about being the heir. Methinks Myrcella is gonna die, freeing Tryst to go off and marry Dany like Quentyn should, only for him to burn instead. They'll probably pull some bullshit out of their ass and try to marry Aegon (if he even shows up) to one of the sand snakes. They'll probably combine Euron and Victarion as well.

 

I for one would be upset if we don't get to see someone die after blowing the Dragon Horn.

 

Not a fan of the Sand Snakes... At all. That's not to say that they can't pull it off, I've been surprised before. But, where's Val! I'm going to be pretty disappointed if they don't bring her into the show, though at this point it doesn't look they will. I really hope that they didn't cut Arianne either.

We didn't see Dalla so I think we can say Val also won't be in the show.

Damn it, Val was one of the few likeable characters at the Wall and now she's cut. Not like I wasn't expecting this, what with Dalla not even being a part of the show so far, but still...

I bet there's gonna be a lot of disappointment from all those that drooled at the thought of Arianne's nipples on screen. God, that fucking passage in Arys' chapter.
