Yeah, that's why I'm not too hot about the possibility of her being alive. I read one fanfiction where that happened and you know what happened? A big fat nothing and I was so gearing up for a:

"You left, you abandoned me to raise another child, one that isn't even of your body or blood. I don't want to - ever again - see you, Lady Dayne." And none of it happened.

Jon and Ashara met and it was meh.

It's shit, so I won't link it. I was reading through it due to boredom.

The Jon-Ashara stuff is very minor and gets 'resolved' in a single chapter. Jon forgives her far too quickly, and Ashara keeps repeating herself, to Barristan, about how a boy needs his father. Yeah, sure. Great time there at Winterfell, what with Catelyn Tully hovering around.

 

The only story I've read where she's Jon's mother and they meet was called Acts of Treason a sort of shippy fic that was decently written...though I can find it anywhere.

 

Her Everything is even more shippy. I blitzed through the pertinent chapters and then few more in the last five minutes. It's nauseating. Weddings about and for everybody. Aegon is so bratty I'd punch him. Dany is way too stable and Barrisatn not pathetic enough about his unrequited love. And Jon is too much of a pussy.

It's shit of the smelliest, browniest order.

It's the one where she gets suckered into marrying Jon Connington, the gayest of gays, isn't it? Yeah, that one was shippy and disappointing, and I remember one dialog from it.

I thought he married Dany? Don't even remember a Redwyne to be honest. But yeah, it was shippy - damn near every character was paired up with someone. Wouldn't mind re-reading it thought. Give it a 3/5

Were I to 'spew hate' at anything female in ASOIAF, I certainly wouldn't enjoy reading, what little there is so far, about Mya Stone or Val. Hell, Asha comes to mind too as a fairly likeable character, especially after her Kingsmoot speech.

 

Apparently they are preparing to film Cersei's Walk of Shame very soon and it will include about 500 extras. If Lena Headey doesn't get Emmy this year, after this kind of scene she will definitely get it the next time.

And it pretty much confirms that the next season will finish 4th and 5th books, but I'm unsure if they will include "for the Watch" as the final scene for Jon. While it's a perfect cliffhanger, there is no way they would be able to keep his possible survival a secret. All it takes is Kit Harington being present for the next season's filming. Unless he is back only for a short scene at the end of it.

 

I think that they will merge the story lines of the two books (if for no other reason than to not pass GRRM), but make for the watch be the ninth episode of the sixth season. Maybe the walk of shame will close out this season?

The walk of shame will be an interesting scene as it is more than likely going to be extremely polarizing with viewers of the show, but if it's done correctly which I would assume it will be given the quality of the show Lena Headey should win an award for it.

 

They are really cramming a lot of stuff. The Faith getting involved and the Margaery debacle will take some setting up, plus all the Dorne shenanigans, Stannis and Mel and Arya, and Sansa. Will be a pretty politically-packed season.

As for the Walk of Shame? I don't know, people. In the books Cersei got a lot of black PR working against her and her family. In the show... well they got a lot less hate thrown their way. So we'll just have to wait and see how D.B.&D.B.W. tackle it.

 

Will they be 'shaving' off Lena's hair for that scene though? I mean, I know she wears the wig in the show, but will they shave her actual hair and have her go bald?

This makes me curious... since we haven't seen a single Kettleblack in the show so far, who are they going to use instead of him? Meryn fucking Trant?
