I agree with several others that Ginny and her Bat Bogey hex really annoys me. It especially annoys me when Ginny is contantly using it, as if it is the only spell she knows which is fully possible, but still she is casting it on Death Eaters and they are all disabled by the idiotic spell.

I would love to see a fic were Ron is very similar to Wormtail, weak, stupid and just pathetic. The few fics were Ron is a Death Eater so is he a high level death eater even if he isent in the Inner Circle.

 

I bet everyone agrees on Ginny, but I absolutely cannot stand Hermione. She's so annoying!

 

Draco is at the top for me. Not because he is an ass, but because he is in the house of the cunning and ambitious and is anything but. I think his biggest ambition seems to be being a lackey, and his 'cunning' appears briefly in HBP and fails miserably.

Cannon Harry irritates me as well. I had high hopes at the start of HBP, when he ignored Herman and cleverly swapped an old book with a new cover to use a better source. Then his character was shafted, he was made more of an idiot, and lets not get started on his incapacity to do silent casting.

 

Draco and cunning do not go together in a sentance. But seriously JKR really screwed Slytherin House. They are supposed to be cunning and resourseful. Name one person in that house who is. Most of them are braindead, ugly, bigots.

 

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Harry as their most hated canon character. I hate how he sits around on his but all day thinking about his chest-monster or quidditch or how stupid Malfoy is instead of learning spells to help himself and applying himself in school.

 

The entire Weasley family, especially 'The Whore'.
Draco is what we call in my part of England a 'Mong' which is me being kind.
Albus disturbs me for some reason, I think its those ever-twinkling eyes.
And Wormtail/Peter Pettegrew the slimy little bastard better die as soon as he repays his Wizard's debt in the 7th book he just reminds me of someone I knew.

 

Actually, Harry IS my most hated character, aside from the entire Weasley family.

 

I really, really, really, really, hate Ron. He is a self-obsessed, bigoted, jealous prat who can't get over being poor. Jesus Fucking Christ - you ain't got money! Live with it!

Every time anyone even mentions money around him he goes off to sulk like a 5 year old or throws a temper tantrum. It says a lot about his character that he saw himself being better than everyone in the Mirror of Erised.

I also hate Molly Weasley, fucking over protective, control freak who thinks a guy who has faced Voldemort can't take care of himself. Granted he usually gets the short end of the stick in that regard but OoTP showed he has a lot of potential. (Another reason why I hate Ron) I bet she hasn't been in a fight in 40 years, fucking idiot. On a side note I like Arthur. He's amusing, his obsession with plugs is quite humorous. (Although he is just as bigoted as the so called Dark Side, just in a different way)

I also dislike Fudge. How can anyone be such an idiot is beyond me. If anything annoys me its staring the truth in the face and choosing to ignore it completely. Same goes for Umbridge in this regard. And the way she hates any mixed blooded beings annoys the hell out of me. You think shes a closet beastiaphile?

Hermione I don't hate but that's probably cause I have a thing for smart people. Argue all you want she is smart until the 5/6 books.

As you can see I do hate a good number of people in the books, which doesn't surprise me that much cause I hate a lot of things.

Hermione. She is not intelligent she is book smart by spending so much time in the damn libary cause she has ne friends. She is ugly and knows it. She is a total bitch "You know Harry I was kinda right about the prince thing..." DIE! She flaunts her knowledge kike everyone should worship her and not just kill the stupid bitch.

 

Same. If either character is given a lot of attention in a fanfic or such, I seriously consider exiting, or at least skipping the entire section with them. It's only on -very- rare occasions that I can read a fanfic with either character having a large part and still find it enjoyable.

All the other characters? I really could care less. It'll always depend on the author of the particular fanfic, Ginny and Draco are the only exception. Although I generally dislike all of the characterization in the books. =/

 

I hate Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy

They are both pussies and both have three year old mentalities. The end.

 

The only characters I hate in all situations are Bill and Charlie Weasley, who are are pretty much the same character. In every_fucking_story they are the epitome of cool. With their earings, rat tails, and dragon hide boots/vests, they upstage everyone.

Fuck them.

I hate Herman, but like Hermione.

For a long time I hated Hermione, but when she is done well, I like her as a character a lot.

I don't hate Ron either. But I do hate weasel.

Ginny isn't really a bad character when she isn't glorified. I liked her in Blessed, by ErisedBurning, especially when Harry comments, "...I wanted to relax a little over the summer and shag Ginny a few times."

Her character, when not overly suffocating and placed where it should be, is not all that bad. I don't mind Harry using her for awhile either before moving on.

I hate Remus, Snape, Malfoy, and Sirius when they are given important roles in the story and are characterized heavily.

I don't hate, but pity Harry. I really wish the best for him, but sometimes, I just wish he would drop dead for being so goddamn good.

 

I dont mind Draco...you need a shitprick. I do hate Ginny for reason that was stated else where on the forum. I hate ron...How stupid can someone be? And book six killed herminoe for me...Before I didnt mind if she was in a fic but now I just want her dead.

 

In canon I feel for harry which sort of is the reason why I want a powerful independant harry in fanfiction because it is who he should be and he should make everyone pay that fucked up his life.

So I guess I just have JKR bashing because i don't see book 7 getting saved.

 

Well, that's Ginny for me.

There are a lot of characters I dislike (Sirius being one of them, for being immature, rash, narrow-minded, and still managing to give everyone lectures about everything), but I absolutely HATE Ginny.

I didn't mind her so much until OotP; she was shy and a little dumb, but quite believable with her crush on her brother's best friend. Then in OotP she starts her transformation... Suddenly she can lie through her teeth "without blushing", which is soooo cooooool, she's an expert at the Bat-Bogey Hex, she's a good flyer, etc. I started to feel a little annoyed.

And then there was that scene, at Grimmauld Place, when she started talking to Harry as if she had been through much more than him and knew more than him what it meant to deal with Voldemort. Christ, she was almost glorying in being possessed because she was stupid enough to trust a talking diary.

That's when I wished I could send her crashing into the ceiling.

Then, HBP came... And it became obvious that JKR was trying very hard to make us like her, by adding one oh-so-cool characteristic on top of another, and this characterisation felt forced and artificial to me. Ginny's character was probably rotten from the beginning, and no matter how many layers of varnish the author will apply on her, she will stay perfectly rotten. The way she yells at Ron (while flipping her hair back in an angry gestureuke: ), the way she's portrayed at the perfect girl for Harry, the way she's the "heart and soul of the Quidditch team"...

Fanfiction only made it worse, but I already hated her with a passion in the books.

Get your hands off Harry, you bitch.

 

Another one I hate is Voldemort. In canon he is cool forcing Harry to bow to him and while he does screw up it is necessary or Harry would be dead and... yeah the books would end there.

I hate the way he portrayed in fanon as some retarded evil guy who casts crucio on all his followers and then duels with bloody 4th year curses. I hate fanon Voldemort in allmost all cases bar a few (To fight the coming darkness)

 

Canon-Harry. He just doesnt do anything. I mean literally, what does he do all school year. Eat, sleep, go to class, Qidditch. Thats pretty much it. Except for when Voldemort attacks or something similiar happens; and its usually luck that gets him through.

Fanon-Harry is a mixed bag. There are so many badly written fics that now I dont even bother going through C2's or reading my alerts for them. I just come here and look through the library

 

You know, Tinn Tam, if I was to hazard a guess, I would say you wanted Harry all for yourself...

Oh come on, Dark, it wasn't anything romantic...It just sums up Ginny's role in Harry's eyes - a toy that he can use for a while and move on.

Besides, aside from Book 6, which we all universally agree never happened, Ginny's character isn't all that bad. We're just confusing Fanon!Ginny with Canon!Ginny.

While I still hate H/G, I don't mind Harry having her as a girlfriend - as long as they don't "...I want to marry you Ginny, with your chocolate/sky blue eyes and your fiery red hair that really just looks like straw. Even though we're only 16, I know what love is and it is you..."

Yeah...that is the uke: point.
