Personally, I loved Season 5. It manged to allow Community to do something that I haven't (personally) seen any other comedy show do; evolve. Jeff and Britta go through a mid-life crisis (as they should), Chang became someone I could actually like and I felt that the writers finally found a place for him in the show instead of constantly running him through the spectrum of "hilarious and crazy friend we love/hate" and "raging psychopath". Donald Glover was given a glorious, proper, and honorable send off. My biggest complaint about the show is that Chang betrayed the group (falling back to his old Schtick), but even that was handled better, IMO. All of this is moot thanks to the season finale, but 'eh, what are you gona do? It's a comedy sitcom barely making it in the ratings department.

You linked to the wrong video, but the 'trailer' doesn't have any new footage, as the season isn't in production yet. Just an FYI, if anyone else wants to avoid being disappointed.

I'm not certain if I really like how the trailer makes the show appear - but it certainly doesn't appear bad. Although, the whole "As leader of the white people" part was brilliant, so at least there's that for me to cling onto.
Looking forward to it getting here.

The first two episodes of of season 6 are up. http://yhoo.it/1Dvp08e

I really liked both episodes. They felt like episodes from season 1 or 2.

You can tell it has a higher budget now than it had at NBC.

Shirley's brief appearance was fantastic, made me really sad she's no longer on the show.

I had quite a few laugh out loud moments to the two new episodes. I think they introduced the new characters pretty brilliantly.

Are the parodies staying? The Shirley cameo was amazing, and the Portugese video wasn't bad either.

...Last episode gut punched me right in the emotions. I was not emotionally equipped to handle it.

    I'm not okay. ;_;

Comedy shows shouldn't be allowed to hurt me. RIP Annie's boobs.

Well, shit. I think that was just about perfect.

Perfect encapsulation of the show's ability to make you feel feelings: Abed's small monologue that included the line about getting on a boat with LeVar Burton and never coming back.

Perfect encapsulation of the show's absolutely killer subtle comedy: the way Jeff and Annie both looked right and left real quick and lowered their voices before dissing Marvel movies.

If it's over, it's over, and it'll go down as one of the most underrated and unappreciated comedies ever.

    Random thoughts:

    - Man, when a show with no swearing suddenly drops a couple F-bombs, they really stand out.

    - Seth Green would have absolutely fit into that role, or any other role, on that show.

    - That kiss was pure fanservice, but the way Annie set it up made me really appreciate how her character had grown from Season 1.

"One by one we all just fade away."

    Damn.

Dude the Deans f bomb was fucking hilarious, I thought US shows had certain restritions if they had swearing?

Also fuck everybody Jeff/Annie for mofucking life.

Broadcast channels in the US have restrictions, true, but Community is now being shown exclusively on the Internet, which doesn't have them.

I just saw the final episode and it was very disappointed as a season finale. It was too much of a meta-callback and Person of Interest did that concept much better. There were too many what-if scenario's.

So, I got the sudden urge to watch this again.

Either I've forgotten a lot of things, or there is extra footage included in the current releases.

    Some really good content.

So sad there wasn't an actual movie.

Hickey was missed in the last season, but Leroy was good too. Though Pierce really is the quintessential Creepy Old Man.

I've rewatched that show multiple times. The first three seasons, especially, but even the filler episodes are nice. It was my go-to Happy Place, but it has some surprisingly poignant moments. Troy and Britta's break up near brought me to tears. And I generally dislike/avoid romance. Dinner with Abed/Pulp Fiction and The Godfather (chicken fingers) are two other favourites.

It never occurred to me that there could be fanfiction for it until I stumbled upon one here a few weeks ago. God I miss that show.
