Back up to Silver 3.

Trying to make it up to Gold, almost to promos for S1

 

In two minds about ranked recently.

After placing Gold I I've only maybe played 30 games total this season thus far and I'm sat on 54LP, so halfway to my possible Plat promo's - I barely play due a combination of queue anxiety, work and a real lack of motivation.

But at the same time I play plenty of team builder games to keep my mechanics on a semi-acceptable level, constantly work on paying attention to the map and just generally practising champions/roles I rarely if ever play. Plus it's fun, albeit annoying at times as your team will still chase a kill for 30 seconds than actually try to get an objective after winning a fight.

Yet I find myself wanting to just play ranked solid for a day and see what happens. I'm Gold whatever happens short of some losing tilt streak I force myself to play through. Just can't quite get the bug to bite me the way it did in season 3.

Happy to see plenty of you guys making progress though, breezing through very nicely!

 

83% win rate on that Nami My main support. Played two games today, Braum (Lost) and Nami (Won). Lost 17 LP and gained 17 LP. Left me scratching my head.

It's not falling that is important. It's getting back up (like me re-promoing into silver 1 for the nth time).

 

So last season I made it to gold playing Lux mid, but after I was "safe" in gold, I decided to try to master some other champions. It really didn't go well and I ended up in Silver V after this season's placement matches. After a long season of struggling in mid silver, I decided to try playing Lux again in a last effort to get to gold and earn my Victorious Morgana skin.

Since I started playing Lux whenever I could, I've maintained a 75% win rate in ranked. Looking back through my match history, 9 out of my last 10 games with Lux were victories. I just started my promo series to get back into gold, and had an easy 1st victory with Lux.

I really wish I could play other champions this well.

 

The tilt continued, I fell to Silver 3. Much rage.

Climbed back up to Silver 2 after some... interesting games.

 

I just played one of the most stressful games of my life. Went against a Ryze mid for the first time in a long while and went 0-2 in the first 4 minutes.

Ryze proceeded to roam and get 11 kills one after another, only one more of which was from me.

At this point, the "gg", "we lost", and "feeder mid" messages began and I had to mute several people. Even I had mostly given up, but I resolved to just play my best. I made several great (if I do say so myself) picks, and, although Ryze continued to be a horrible menace, my team won after a grueling 55 minute match with inhibitors going down on both sides.

In the end, I went 14-9-21, which actually isn't the greatest of scores. I guess I'm mostly proud of myself for not tilting and continuing to feed, like I've done many times in the past.

Oh yeah, this win got me to gold. Woohoo!

 

This goes to show that most games are winnable even when super behind, especially at lower elos.

 

So...

This happened. Back in Silver 1. Living the dream of gold.

 

So.

I just had an interesting match. I'm adcing as Trist with a Leona supp, Kha Zix jungle, Kata mid, and a Renek top.

We're facing Caitlyn/Thresh bot, LB mid, Shyv jungle, and a Lissandra top.

Early game goes super well, Caitlyn doesn't know how to trade and I'm winning in cs. Leona gets a solid engage off and we kill Caitlyn. Kha comes bot and we kill Thresh too. Game is looking good so far. LB murders Kata, but I ignore it. LB murders Kata again, I respond by killing Cait. LB roams bot and murders me, but my turret avenges me so it's an even trade. So far, alright. Kata dc's. LB starts hard roaming, Renekton is getting stressed, Kha is getting stressed. I laugh and get mad.

So they grp 5v4 mid,totally BG us, and start talking shit in all chat. They take mid inhib and recall after diving and and killing 2 of us (Leona/Renek). I tell Kha we need to rush baron or the game is lost. He bitches but we do it, and the comeback begins. Me and Renekton with Baron just shit all over them, and we ace them twice before winning. Post game chat was hilarity, and ranked seems a bit less horrid.

Someone needs to help me get the eff out of silver, so many AFK's and feral flare worrying jungles to accomplish anything.
