I'm kinda bleh on the notion that Harry even has to justify his actions to her at all. I'm not saying he should Crucio Hannah and her sister, but as an emerging leader in this whole conflict he shouldn't be worrying about how his little girlfriend is going to react to what he does. If she can't deal with what needs to be done, then he should find somebody who can, and if she won't support him when he needs it, then he's better off without her anyway.

Mordecai - You must have posted while I was replying to the rest. Thanks. No need to gush like a fangirl - this is DLP after all!

LT2000 - Agreed, but from Harry's perspective he and Susan are engaged and are on the precipice of starting a family to produce a heir. She's good in the sack. She seems to be putting up with his shit. It is probably best not to push it too far by laying into her two best friends really badly.

LT2000 - You must not be married. :) While I'll agree that Harry should be free to overreact, he'd do best to avoid trampling on the future Mrs. Potter in the process... a Dark Lord can only kill him once, a resentful spouse can make him wish he was dead every day for the rest of his life.

No love for Ginny what so ever, but Hannah is really pushing it.

    Great chapter as always.

I see Nukular Winter has met my wife - and I quote "Are you writing that Harry Potter crap again?", but she puts up with my shit what can I say I love the woman!

Vsd2oc - I replied to your review on ff, but like Lord Myst says. It seems that they have a log jam on ff.net right now. I'm not getting story update notifications or new review notifications and I could very well be wasting my time replying to the nice folks like you who are reviewing.

On a side note, if I can write a story where DLP members actually feel sorry for Ginny - then I have truly done something impressive.

Myst - Let me know when you get it, please. I don't want to reply to any more reviews until I know my replies are actually going some where.

I received a reply from your latest update on Bungle in the Jungle.

I'm sure the other reply will arrive sometime in the next 24hrs... it does that.

Again brilliant fic. About Ginny, I'm still not sure if I'm feeling sorry for her or my opinion of Hannah is changing... either way, you're archieving alot in the character manipulating department. As far I stand anyways.

    Good Job

I just got your reply, Jim. It seems that FFN kind of blanked out for a period, but it's back now. Anyways, great job, again.

I wish to join everyone else in congratulating you for a brilliant chapter, jbern. Though I have to disagree with the protests against the cliffhanger - it's tradition. Stories you get piece by piece need cliffhangers. It's like the spices for a meal - it could go without, but it'll be less fun.

On the issue with the Abbot sisters, I say have Harry pull a Dumbledore on them; guilt them into swearing oaths, on punishment of pain, not to use legillimency on others or something similar, then obliviate them so they won't remember the oath. That's what I would try to do in his place, at least.

Now, if I'm not way off the mark, it's time for a 'Bungle' update, hm? :D

Well, it looks like I've joined this forum right at the end of the story! I mean, Voldemort is toast, yeah? I was worried right up to the last sentence that something would go wrong - the Abbott sisters would somehow break into the room where Harry was meditating, or Dumbledore (or his proxy), once alerted to Harry's use of 'dark magic', but it looks like things have gone according to plan - Harry!Wormtail has successfully aimed and fired off the curse.

Just in case the next chapter isn't the "happily ever after" epilogue I'm expecting:

I'm not a sadist, but I hope Ginny is shown to be in suitable torment due to the repercussions of the breaking of her magical oath. I don't think I've read ANYTHING of what happens upon the breaking of such an oath in any fanfic over almost 3 years of reading, just that it's a big no-no. Quite a few magical oaths taking place, but I've never seen a victim of one. Plus if there's a big frenzy over her in the medical wing - "she's showing all the signs of breaking a magic oath, she has X minutes to live / before she loses her mind/magic" - then Harry's coming to the rescue to release her will be all the more dramatic/heroic. Just my opinion.

I know Susan doesn't like Harry's use of dark magic, but she's suitably pragmatic in this chapter, no wilting flower - I thought she was done just right. Hence I hope she'll take Harry's side in admonishing the Abbott sisters. Not in a towering rage - they didn't know what Harry was up to, and were trying to protect their friend Susan (in a teenager type of way, as Jbern has pointed out to me) - but still letting them know in no uncertain fashion that (a) she, Susan, trusts Harry, (b) she appreciates their friendship and motivation, and (c) if they ever try to disrupt what the effective leader of the Light is doing again on their own bat she'll practice an unforgivable or two herself.

Just my thoughts, nice to ramble on about a good story and what might be happening next.

This what the Hannah and her sister need to do. Drop to their knees open mouths and relax their throat and wait for Harry to drop his pants.

I like it but if you end it I will make you die in a way that makes Edgar cry like a 2 year old girl.

Dumbledore is broken in spirit and body. Susan is getting better, Toms hurting, and Harry is pissed. I like it

I really enjoyed the chapter as well. Put me down in the camp that feels there needs to be some serious retribution dished out to the Abbotts. Harry drew a line in the sand, they stepped over it (and then some), there have to be consequences. And not of the "OMG, we feel so guilty, we learned a valuable lesson about trust" variety.

There has to be a limit to the extent to which one's fiance can provide cover for her friends' behavior, and I would think involuntary Legilimency is well beyond that limit.

I too agree that the Abbott sisters need some serious shit handed to them. Granted Ginny might be a bitch in this story (attempted rape anyone), but her actions do not excuse what the Abbotts did. Like others on this board, I don't want Ginny to die (not yet anyway) but I do hope that there are some serious lasting repercussions for her breaking her oath—not death or insanity, but maybe some serious loss of magical power or some slight brain or nervous system damage. I'm an elpeleptic (seizures) so maybe some magical version of epilepsy is in order.

As for the Abbotts, here's a thought: depending on the way you look at it Ginny's oath to Harry made her under his command and thus responsible for her. Given what Hannah and Chelsea did, I'd imagine that's a major crime punishable by expulsion, snapping of their wands and time in Azkaban (or whatever the Ministry is using now). BUT since this is a political Harry, maybe he decides to not arrest them in exchange for the Abbott signet ring and a large percentage of their family's $. This would allow him to control the Abbott votes in the wizengamot and provide him with some serious cash flow. Just an idea.

Having put it off for basically forever, I finally caved in a read this. All of it. In one sitting.

All the praise in the world could not do justice to what I am feeling right now, so I'll go for simple:

    You rock, dude.

Each chapter got better than the ones before it. Once the DLP got involved, it turned better than Rowling is capable of (although lately that ain't too high of praise, is it?). When you showed the evils of Lily Potter, I was enraged (not by you, but by her, as you probably intended). When you dealt with Azkaban, I was alternating between moans of sadness and cheers of joy. When you dealt with Penny, I chortled in sadistic glee. When Lucius was punished I laughed my ass off. When Hagrid fought, I cheered, and when he died, I shed a tear (Hagrid has always been one of my favorites). And the end of the latest chapter left me hungry for more.

Pure genius. If you ever wrote and published an original story, I'd probably buy it. You've earned Six stars out of Five.

Makes me wonder why I ever put off reading this...

Oops! Sorry about that. I'm rather new to this board and I hit quote instead of reply. My apologies.

Ok, now I really don't know...
