Well font, if I can create an equally good (or maybe better? who knows?) discussion from pretending to town read someone as straight up calling them scum, why not? I am a very experimental player. I like to try different strategies and see what happens. The worst case outcome is that someone tries to lynch me because of it. In case you haven't noticed before, that is not something I even begin to worry about as town.

Do you think I'm scum? We should probably get that question out of the way, then we can move onto you explaining the scum motivation behind my posts, and then I can explain why you're wrong. :p

The confusion about games isn't why people are suspicious of Zenzao. Why don't you want to lynch him?

    Rubicon.

You switched positions on Zenzao. Then retroactively said that you had been suspecting him all along. And you can't explain why you would have lied about it. Do you not see how buslike that is?

He's new, and while I think pressuring him is great...lynching noob players (his first game nked n1 so) is not my type of fun. It's too easy.

Fonti, I think Blab wants you to extract the information from him...with a pair of pliers and a live wire.

Is "irritate fonti" a win condition?

Because if you're scum and Zenzao is not, then what you did pushing on his wagon fits very very well into that world.

Or I guess i did the conditional backwards.

Pushing on his wagon makes good sense if you're scum, and you did it in a lightly weighted way. It's easy for you to say later "oh he was being weak on his pushes" which is super non-concrete and gives you a free bye whether he's lynched or not

I need to get used to checking this thread, I've been in a funk of slow games lately

fontisian: sure, at the most superficial level possible. give me some credit for layering my posts with subtlety though. 'oh you did <insert classic scum tell here>?? you're probably town!' <-- not ever intended to be taken as a serious read

    poking dragons is fun.

Yes, in your Citrus!world, my acts might be scummy.

What really happened was I started the wagon on Zenzao, poked Rubicon for defending him, attack specific parts of his language, ripped into his arguments, and pushed others to join me.

In an ordinary set up, I'd say that it made no bearing as the pick is usually random. However, in this game we ostensibly had some influence over our teams. Therefore the argument becomes whether a person who has never been scum before would want to be scum.

As an example, let's look at me. I've never been scum, and I must confess some interest in playing a scum or third party role. However, I put scum as my third choice. Why? Well, I think playing town is more fun. The sense of unknown fighting against the monsters in the night - well, it's been good the last few times I've done it. Fits my flavour role too.

Thus, I would say that it would vary person to person. On balance, I'd say no, because I don't think we had as much influence on roles as we think. As a counterpoint, though, I don't know how Lexi thinks, so she may have a bias.

Then why aren't you calling Lyrium a liar? One of the two of you would need to be lying. Lyrium said he is new a few posts back. You say he is not.

    Explain.

FYI I am third party Doctor. Claimed it already.

This is Zen's second mafia game on DLP, that I know of. He was active in Survivor games, which is a totally different kind of game and I miss Zeitgeist.

I'm not sure what Fonti is referring to.

Good to know. Do you figure your role flavour had any bearing on that?

I claimed it because out of all the recommended strategies for survivor it was the most fun.

@Doctor: It is likely flavor influenced it but I am not Lexicat and don't know everything so it is just a guess.

Zenzao do you think you are a newbie?

Oh you meant him. I thought you were claiming a doctor role.

FYI, I will not lynch or kill survivor-you regardless of my alignment.
