If Nic sent his squires to raid Michael's home, wouldn't they be melted by the guardians? Even though they're mortal, they're still agents of the one the Carpenters are being defended against.

Nope. Mortals can't be touched. They're free to murder as they please. Free Will. The coin, however, might be another matter. Not sure if the angels would permit that, or notice it.

If they throw the coin into Michaels yard...well i don't know if the coin will be destroyed, but I'm sure Nick don't want to know either and pretty sure it won't affect the Carpenters.

Lasciel...i don't think the coin is in Hades vault anymore. My guess is that Nick pick it up with his shadow when he left. The same for Ursiel coin.

For WoJ saying it was not the end of Lash...i don't know. It could mean the SoI or that the act of selfsacrifice she made impressed TWG and thus became an angel again (although it was just Lasciel shadow so seems unlikely).

For the coin, it can infect Mortals. The Sidhe are inmortals, but the Genowskwa is Mortal. River shoulders is mortal too, they just live a lot more than humans. And just humans having souls...well the White Court has souls aswell. Not entirelly sure about the other vampires.

I wasn't saying they'd throw it into his yards... But perhaps if a Squire brought it in and put it somewhere where a child might find it.

I may just be grasping at straws here, but is that not exactly the thing Nicodemus does? If his plan to fuck the place over fails, then there's always plan B. Would also explain his willingness to run off.

It's possible and in-character for Nic. I'm not sure the angelic bodyguards would allow the coin to stay though. That's the only reason I'm not agreeing wholeheartedly.

It's entirely possible they're forced to let it be, what with it being dropped off by a mortal and all, but I really doubt it.

Yeah, same. I've always interpreted it as the coin being a link to one of the fallen and not an actual container in which it is hidden. Not sure if there's any WoJ on it... But if so, then maybe that'd mean they'd get away with it.

But yeah, as you said, it seems to be in character for the guy, but I also doubt the angels would permit it.

Who do you guys reckon will wield Ammorachius next? Supposedly it won't come out until the apocalyptic triology, which is when Faith will return, too. So maybe there's that.

Amoracchius is almost certainly gonna end up in Thomas' hands IMO.

I agree with the statement about Amoracchius and Thomas. I thought he had it at one point, till I realized it was just something from Little Chicago's story.

Sorry to bring this up again, but I saw this line and couldn't help but laugh.

"Butters," rumbled Skaldi Hair Ball. If he really had broken fingers, it didn't look like they were bothering him much. "When are you going to get in this ring and train like a man?"

"About five minutes after I get a functional lightsaber," Butters replied easily, much to Hair Ball's amusement.

Wasn't it their yard that Nicodemus threw Lasciel's coin into when Dresden picked it up?

Edit: I guess that was when Michael was still a bearer of a Sword and didn't have his angel bodyguards.

Didn't screen cap it, but I was playing a game of LoL with Jim a few days ago and asked him if we'd get to see Ivy again soon. His response was "IT SHALL BE SO!"

So...take that for what you will.

Considering the theme of the next book, seeing Ivy seems very very likely. :)

I just saw this and don't remember a link to it from this thread:

1:27:27 or thereabouts on a bookstore interview. (maybe start a bit earlier.)

What's so interesting about this? "The option [for film] has been sold/leased out again to a major production company, who's name I'm not at liberty to share."

    Color me interested.

On a sidenote, he was joking about having Tom Hiddleson play Dresden, in reference to an earlier question about how to appeal to more of a female audience.

I heard that interview too. Let's hope it amounts to something epic. He's said before that HBO won't have any Urban Fantasy series once True Blood ends, which it will after this season.

    One can always hope. ^^

As for Tom Hiddleston. Awesome actor. Would fit well as Dresden, in my opinion.

I would sacrifice an infinite amount of small children to have HBO do the Dresden Files.

Not sure well they could stick to the story with the special effects and all. Maybe if they didn't get too many big name actors they could splurge on a few of the really, really epic scenes.

I mean, it wouldn't be Dresden Files without Sue. :)

^ This. I'd rather a strong ensemble cast of lesser known actors (the way Firefly was done) over the big names.

The real trick with casting is Harry himself - not too many guys out there standing tall enough. Alexander Skarsgard maybe? With TB done, he might have some free time...

He's 39 or so, though. Good looking guy and not a bad actor, but he's too old. Though when the time comes for Odin to be cast... ;)

Firefly... If we could get Joss to help out with writing I don't think I'd survive the nerd-joy.

Yeah, pipe dream would involve Joss writing. Maybe a few episodes here and there done by some of the better Dr Who authors. I know "The Lonely Child," and "The Doctor Dances," are a pair of my favorites- and the writing for "Blink" was amazing. Though, I feel like having Jim write for Dresden's lines would be great. Or maybe Little Chicago?

No ideas for Harry- hard to see any 20 something 6' 4" actors out there. I would love to see Liam Neeson play a part. I'm not sure where, because even though I'd want to see him as Eb, he may be more of a Hades. What a guest appearance that would be!

I would actually pay the production company for the opportunity to write for the show, but I think contractually I'd be obligated to accept WGA scale.

And Skarsgard has a brother who's only 24 or something on Hemlock Grove, but I'm not sure how tall he is.

Lately the only person I can picture for Murphy is Sarah Jones from Alcatraz. And I agree with Butcher when he said Joe Manganiello for Michael. Chiwetel Ejiofor for Sanya. Tom Berenger for Nicodemus. Chloe Moretz for Deirdre.

Fuck, I could wish-list all day.
