I have returned from the depths of testing!

Cool stuff. TerRaine, your question interests me because I like talking about myself, so we start there.

Basically, I view the Town as a team. Together we get to find scum and disrupt the wincons of third parties, leading to victory and bragging rights and fluff. At this juncture I don't have the ability to perform the sort of analyis that fuel players like say Rubicon, fontisian, Citrus, etc. I accept this limitation. So D1 I follow up on their reads and compare them with mine. This way I get scumhunting targets and the scrutiny helps me read them to hopefully townclear at least one.

In addition, I try to look at things others may have missed. My meta for Lyrium usually has her being cleared by most players early on as town. Fine. But this game there was very little pressure on her. So I put some there. Her response is similar to other responses she's given to pressure from singular players, such as Rubicon in early AYAW2 (IIRC). Little more casual condescension but it's whatever.

I also had some gut feeling on a Lyrium/Citrus interaction thing that prompted the vote, hence asking for Citrus and fontisian for their opinions on her.

My Lyrium vote prompted notable reactions from Titus, Lyrium, and yourself, which is data I can use assuming I survive past toNight. Some of that is just serendipity though, really I just went with my gut to see what happened. I think it would work better with a game with more activity though.

Snowvon not responding was weird though. I was counting on some cloudy color commentary. What's up Von?

TerRaine, my only serious issue with your wall is the number of your town reads that whose reasoning you say you don't agree with but you can follow. What exactly does that mean. Can you give examples? Whose logic can't you follow?

Aekiel the reason I asked you to do me should be apparent at this point if not I'll give you a hint.

It's been so long since our last (and only) game together, I'd almost forgotten your posting style.

When I said "Protect MathBlade at all costs," that. Didn't literally mean Protect Her At All Costs. It's a fun phrase that I used because MathBlade is awesome and I want to play with her and I'd hate for her to die D1. But I'm not going to "protect" her to the point where it's antitown? Victory and teamwork > MathBlade (unfortunately </3).

And honestly, Ter, the self deprecation is totally warranted. 2/3 of my scumgames were sweaty balls-levels of performance. Ick.

I will admit that I use fluff as a shield to deflect attention from how inadequate I am (or at least perceive myself to be) at scumhunting and analyzing posts/votes/motives, and. Every time I post I try to channel my MS!self and then I just get really frustrated when it doesn't work. I don't know why that's a Thing, maybe I need to see a counselor about this.

Role flavor is Katamari ball -> I'm the third party trash collector.

I can choose to 'roll' into people at night, picking up any items they are holding.

If I pick up 4 items, I exit the game victoriously (had to ask about this).

I asked if I have any power to use items or any knowledge of what I pick up etc. and got the answer "depends on the item"

So setup-wise there's multiple roles that can give items or I basically can't ever win. But it's still uproariously hard to win

 

Would picking up items deprive the owner of said items of their abilities?

 

Oh. That. Of course I'm reading your posts, I just didn't really see it as something I felt was worth squabbling over.

Sometimes I forget that it is in fact possible for Lyrium to roll scum. So far, I'm not feeling it at all. I figured your vote was more about pressure/reactions than actually thinking she was scum, so I sort of. Let it go.

 

And I mean again you can just say this is wine, but if I were scum I'd be smart enough to not draw tons of aggro D1.

I picked my alignments before my scum-streak which I'm now regretting, but 3rd party is so hard to win considering it's not even regular survivor for me just bleh

So by understanding is yes, they become mine. But from my second question it sounded like they're destroyed and my item counter goes up (which fits the flavor)

Does "exit the game victoriously" = game over for the rest of us? Or are you just out and get to jump in at the victors' party when most of us have killed each other?

Katamari is the ball bomb.

 

My best guess is I'm bastard designed to do something weird if I encounter certain items.

Ex: if I hit a 1-use vest I'm told I can use it but I can't actually use it etc.

I mean, if I do I do. But I effectively will townside in all worlds because I'm not a survive to endgame third party.

I don't even have the scenario of scumsiding in LYLO or anything, and I exit the game if I get my items.

Titus was right that I was scum, but you were also right that my PoV on the people getting first choice thing was warped (in regards to my comments on Snowvon). I think that's the only ingenuine thing I've said/done, the rest was real

 

I have no problem with keeping around a Survivor who's Katamari-flavored, I am just saying.
