Titus I don't like this play here. First you say I am not surv which is wrong and now Snow isn't. Citrus just scolded me for this and how I did it. Which above board I thank him for even though my gut says still scum. IMO since Fonti who a my town read believes it I am inclined to believe the purple cloud...Did I mention I love purple. It looks more that if you think a person might come after you or you have no control over them you try to make them look like something that people would want to lynch.

I do not think Snow is mafia because he doesn't have the vibe of an informed minority. Third party, yes. Lying about his win condition or abilities, probably.

Negative utility role not claimed early. You claimed a role that makes no one want to lynch you. That is prettyfucking survivalistic. You have been helping scum. Why would you help yown? You won't be lynched if all town have to have OP roles balance and you aren't scum. I think you are scum but you have zero incentive to help town.

I am just going to say right now, this is my favorite part of your post:

When MathBlade claimed third party, I wanted to sit back and see how town would react. And then I was very certain if people wanted to lynch me and I claimed third party at that time, I wouldn't be believed. This is my first (and probably only, for a while) time being third party, and I'd like to enjoy it.

I want to help town because that is my choice. Like I said, everything I've posted so far, I did with a town!mindset. My reads are genuine.

Fuck if I know. I'm not gonna try to guess how a bastard game works.

Why would I need to? I didn't think I was going to be the only third party. If she had claimed my ability or anything like that, I might have said something.

Thoughts on Mathblade: I’m feeling better about her. I was picturing some massive game ending role based on who knows what conditions. Seeing the other third party role claims I feel like Math’s claim is believable. The shifting wincon is still really worrying and it’s something that needs to be watched but she gets a pass. At least for toDay.


Math, you have any intentions/still intending of keeping us in the loop in terms of wincon?


Citrus: Been said before but the roleclaim is weird. Like we got to call our own roles, or at least what they’d be based on. What were you expecting when you put in for that?


Snowvon: I believe claim, the pictures were just too perfect for anything else (and leaving me out of a Homestuck picture. For shame.) That said I absolutely hate your role. Scum bombers are annoying as all hell. Third party DOB though? You are in the absolutely perfect position to do whatever you want, play every side and still make it to endgame. Ugh.

I thought katamari would be fun and I liked the idea of a role that gets more powerful overtime. I specifically explained the flavor as a ball that starts weak and rolls onto things until it's unstoppable. Unfortunately I didn't think about the fact that it fits well for third party and not scum as I wanted to be scum at the time.

And then on top of that I'm informed my role is totally dependent on the roles and actions of other hidden roles in a bastard setup. Like what the blooming fuck how am I supposed to win on that? And 4 items? Like either there's a lot of item gifters or I got bastard setup'd into psuedo auto loss

I'm probably rolling into mathblade tonight since she's the most anti-citrus (sorry not sorry mathblade lol) so I guess if she loses whatever she has then that's what my role does. And no I wouldn't roll into town on purpose unless majority tells me I have to that night, because that's just setting myself up for an instant Lynch if guaranteed scum Lynch isn't available. But the fact I was told I pick up "free" items strongly suggests I don't interact with anything except gifted/built items

Up until Citrus role-dropped, I was still waffling on his alignment(and Fonti/Rubicon). My dislike of the latter was kind of screwing with getting an accurate, honest read, shining Citrus in a positive light simply by way of his stance against Fonti. But taking the time to look past that, reading the lead-up between Citrus and Fonti prior to Citrus role-dropping, and then once he actually did so, I felt he was a negative influence upon our odds of overcoming the scum - as I explained in #509.

I don't trust Citrus not to turn vengeful - we have to rely on an assumption that 1. he'll roll who he says he'll roll toNight, and 2. that we get a confirmation beyond his own "Oh yeah guys I totes rolled into [theo-scum 1]". I know his neck is on the line and that he has nothing to gain by not doing what he says, but it is still the fact that he could harm rather than help regardless of his intentions.

I'm still unsure of you, by the by. Hence the gray for you and PoD, as there hasn't been a whole lot of late from you or much of anything at all from PoD since the game started. If either of you had something to gain by hammering Citrus after I'd made my vote, I didn't want to take that chance. Likewise for any of the other players. Thus the unvote.

 

That's mostly because I didn't know he was a Bomb until I checked the thread today, at which point I made my post. I have a counter to his ability, which should allow me to hammer and survive it. I consider this Pretty Damn Useful so I thought I'd share it with the rest of you.

 

It's a good thing you want to lynch me and not the faction that is actively against you.

(I really hope there are actual mafia out there otherwise sadness.)
