Oh and if Lucky commuted, Sloth effectively didn't target him at all. So even if he is x-shot, he may still have the shot.

All caught up, typing now. Just as a quick question because this is out of my experience range, in a game with both abilities and items do RB's typically block both?

That.. is not how commuting works but ok.

Yeah it is, usually anyway. Some mods are different, but commuters 'leave the game' for the night. It's like targeting someone who's not on the player list.

But if you try to kill someone who commuted, the kill was still technically used. Wouldn't it be the same for other abilities?

Honestly the way Sloth worded it it sounds like he's allowed to do it every night. I am a bit suspicious but at the same time it IS pretty easy to confirm whether or not he's lying.

The irritating thing is that he could be telling the truth about his role, just not his alignment, and we can't verify that he didn't motivate a scum last Night because lol Commuter.

Sorry if I'm wrong but I have literally never played a game or seen a game where that was the case. You've still locked in and fired, they just have an ability that resolves before yours.

Snow, actually what happened is that Lexi forgot me (!) or at least to tell me that my night thing did not work so I was waiting for X....to happen via PM (and this is another reason why QT is better) but then after sending two pms like "Why didn't x happen" I was informed that nothing happened.

I am assuming roleblock unless someone has other ideas but since other people got to use their abilities...I can't figure out any other reason for X not to happen.

It's like if scum try to kill a protected player. They didn't die, but there was definitely a gunshot.

If Sloth was RB'd, though, it would make sense for him to still have a shot left. Since by definition he was prevented from even using it.

In a commuter case, I'd say he used it.

Also true...the flavor also doesn't lend itself to town either. Nor does just to blast my exact flavor to everyone. Hints I may be laying but if I want to claim I will...don't do it for me.

Sloth...I know you're at work right now but when you get back can I get some more of your reads on people?

What I don't get with your scenario...if you honestly though Lee was going to shoot you and you were giving him 2 bullets to ensure he'd go after someone else. Why didn't you just claim THEN. I mean....we all sat around in the thread after you stole the hammer. What was stopping you?

You've said it before...you ALWAYS have a plan. So...kinda having trouble thinking the stolen hammer was just for the random joy of enraging Lee and not part of that always have a plan mentality. It all flows together too much in your favor.

RB prevents the shot. Shot retained. Commuter, imo, makes your shot miss, shot lost.

Could someone answer the original question though? In your experience, in games with items AND abilities does a RB block both?

Sloth giving Lee the shot doesn't make sense on multiple points. Why give a shot to someone who has a history of being trigger happy (or if you are town and know he's targeting you because of a hammer thing then why give him an extra shot since he's unstable?).

Kalas, I've only played one other game where I even had powers and wasn't vanilla much less items so I have no clue.

Lol, did you roleblock me Kalas?

I am guessing I did that Lyrium. One shot cop, one shot doc, one shot RB makes sense for third party who could be hired. Cop/Doctor for town. RB for scum plus joining a scum chat.

Ok that just brings up more questions then.

Are you saying you were part of scum chat?

No I am not. I am saying that is likely what would have happened. Me knowing the entire scum team would be beyond bad.

So you didn't know what your powers were, only that you were survivor one day one.

On the first night you were "hired" and some interaction with one or more players powers caused you to play all three roles: doctor (save a townie), cop (investigate a player) and roleblocker (prevent a player's actions). Perhaps a town and scum tired to hire you at the same time?

    Idk, its beyond confusing.

Moving onto people who need to be grilled: Sloth, Kalas, Aekiel pending replace\not replace.

I've liked TerRaine's reasoning and cautiousness but would like to see more thoughts.

Fontisian, I like Rubicon's thinking so far. Why don't you?

I was not hired. I was made vanilla.
I agree it is beyond confusing. Imagine trying to explain it and make sure the person who would have died knows without telling them. I have a headache from trying to explain.

Kalas - Got reads? Mentioned something about delaying them yesterday?
