Sloth said he was going to dive in to the conversation instead of reading the thread. He asked for a summary at one point. That happened.

Is it alignment indicative? No, he has real life stuff and is managing to contribute anyway. (Analysis of Titus/MathBlade, poking at problems with Lyrium's play.) Is it an honest analysis of his play? No, because spinning it as 'doesn't care about scumhunting' is the most superficial shit ever and moreover, not how Sloth plays scum. When Sloth is scum, you believe he cares.

(This isn't to say Sloth is town... because that's not how he's playing in this game anyway. It's just bullshit either way.).

Rubicon is focuses on emphasizing that this is totally his town meta and there's not way he could fake it, instead of actually pushing his reads.

I said that this was strongly my town meta and not play that I could fake. That happened.

Is it the focus of my play? Is it something I've done instead of pushing my reads? When was the last time I mentioned my meta? When was the last time I pushed for one of my reads? What is the ratio between them?

And don't even get me started on this 'why are you discrediting me?' bullshit. You don't see me whining every time she calls me 'useless' of whatever. Because I just sit here and talk to people and town stuff happens. Titus has been making snarky replies to my posts all day, who gives a shit? It doesn't stop me from scumhunting. It doesn't stop me from finding scum.

You know what fontisian should do if she wants to be credible? Be fucking town and stop making bullshit, superficial cases like the ones above.

Find scum and convince us to lynch them.

I did explain it, at least briefly.

My reasons for thinking you were town (meta, gut, poking at me) are probably the weakest of all my town reads, and if blab is town, someone needs to get bumped down a few notches.

If Titus is really town, was the entire scum team trying to kill her yesterday? If so, why? If not, what were the other scum doing?

fontisian was leading the push against Titus. I can easily imagine that at least one scum was taking the opposite position to distance from her or for town cred later. Looking at my other reads, that makes me look at you.

The scumteam was damn near evenly split between me v Lyrium and me v Citrus. You know that though. Lyrium is too precious as your mafia bomber to test my theory.

I'm not sure about Sloth. First, he outed TerRaine's flavor (based on ?) which is rude but also seems to lack self-awareness? I don't think he would calculatingly do that to her. There is the lurkerness which is the only thing really pinging me.

As for Rubicon, he is my town read so far. Him and blab are the strongest town reads so I'm not sure what the meta arguments against him are.

I didn't realize deadline was October 6th 2pm...so that makes things more intense.

Of the two who may need replacements (Aekiel and Dr. Whoves) who is more likely to be a scum read based on their play or interactions so far?

Due to blab and rubicon I'm trying to do a hard reset on you re: feeling like you are a nut job scum\suicidal player. Try doing that with me if you can.

 

Rubicon: Sloth spending his time on commenting instead of reading what he should be commenting about is scumclaim. Do you honestly believe that town!Sloth could restrain his curiosity of the previous Day's posts? Of course you don't. Trying to spin as anything else is bull.

But then, this is why I think you've forgotten how to appear town. You push your reads by repeating them, instead of providing reasons. That only works for me because I have a variety of strong town reads that I can explain, and then I attack the remainder. You don't work by poe, so your imitation of my playstyle is bullshit.

Re: The colors, it's because I tried to fix it in a doc file and so that's why the blue but its prettier then the regular color.

 

I feel like it's kind of weird to advertise for an off-site game with a relatively close-knit playerbase, which is exacerbated by the fact that this is a Upick-style game (which are literally the worst to replace into, not even accounting for the role madness we have up in here.) Lyrium -- Aekiel over Whooves for me. When Whooves was here, I felt like his content was more insightful than Aekiel's, and from a less experienced player it made me feel good about him. And the more recent thing is that I'm not crazy that Aekiel replaced out before answering my last set of questions to him since I was just asking him to explain statements he'd already made, not do additional research. I understand needing to replace out, but that's just straight up not being able to explain himself.

I think you grabbed onto an offhand comment that may or may not even be true regarding Sloth's read of the thread, and are basing a read on it instead of actually analyzing his content. Whether Sloth is scum is an entirely separate point; if he is, it has zilch to do with his curiosity about the game.

At this point, guys, I don't think I'm going to have the time to get fully caught up and give any in-depth opinions on the state of town/scum and the game as a whole. I've got ten days left to cobble together my Antho 4 entry and ask for feedback from any beta's willing to check it out, and I haven't been making good use of my free time for anything over the past five days, as I'd really expected going into October.

I'm pulling an all-nighter to focus on refining the garbled scenes I do have down so far and if I have the time tomorrow, I'll do my best to chip into the state of things in here. I'm sorry for my absence, and I'm not asking for a replacement, just offering a little perspective right quick.

 

You do realize the green where Lyrium basically says she's town over and over in the vcas.
