So, unless my googlefu totally sucks, the Keep should be up in a few hours. BSN mentiones times like 10am and 12pm (12pm is midday, right?).

Curse you, Canada, why must you be in negative GMTs...

The dragon age keep is the method in which you will be able to carry over your world states to Dragon Age Inquisition. It allows you to make all the major decisions from previous Dragon Age games and set it as your world state for Inquisition. It has been stated that this will be used for future Dragon Age games as well in order to allow players to maintain their own world.

This bypasses the need for save files though you can export saves to the keep if you use an origin account.

    You mean the keep?

It is the new cloud based system used by Bioware to manage the importing and changing of saves from the previous games. You can either upload saves or play something similar to a text based adventure to create new ones (or even simply modify existing ones). Those saves will be used to generate the world/history of DA:I which will change slightly depending on the previous choices.
You can also trade those saves with your friends etc.

It is perhaps the most revolutionary system associated with DA:I since it finally allows for continuing series over multiple system/generations and allows the users to see what choices will/should affect the game and change them to their liking.

Cool. Is it only for PC atm? Or does the web app let you export something for consoles too? I'm getting it on ps4.

    Because trophies.

Well, guess it's time for me to reinstall Origins and try to beat it again. We'll see if I can get past Redcliffe this time, that's where I've lost interest in replays before.

Maybe it's my piss poor internet connection, but I gave up after 5 minutes on my phone. Navigating with a touchscreen is a fucking nightmare. Absolutely needs a mouse to use.

I'm getting it on PS4 as well. The usage is on browsers, but it exports to your account regardless of Console. So for example I could play Inquisition on the PS4, but if/when DA4 comes out I could play it on PC/Xbone with those world states.

Also, I've heard conflicting things. Either PS4 users will get our preload on the 14th or the 17th. Not sure which is true. There hasn't been an official statement...

Not a huge deal. Destiny preload was 2 days before, as with other games, and it's always ready by launch.

Mileage may vary depending on your internet connection ofc.

15 Days til Launch. I'm beyond psyched.

Thinking along those lines, what's the craziest thing any of y'all have done for a video game? I only work part time til january So I've got plenty of time to zone out on Inquisition.

Oh... I'm getting hyped for this game. Damn it. I promised not to, after the fiasco that was DA2. But this looks so much better. DA:O was the one game that I platinumed on PS3, then got on the PC, and still played several playthroughs.

That Keep thing is a lifesaver. I got a new pc recently, so I lost all my old saves. I was just thinking if I should replay both games just to get my previous history straight. I'm surprisingly relieved I don't have to.

Definitely playing a mage, most likely elf male. Mages are just my thing. The class I enjoyed the most, by far, in both previous games.

Back in DA:O, my main run was my AW/BM elven mage (because Ivory Tower was elf only back then), I actually preferred human male origin, cause I like being taller than the women. Generally chaotic neutral, pro-elf, pro-mage, romancing Morrigan all the way. Dipping to evil more often than I probably should :D

In DA2, the only thing I got enjoyment out of was playing pure sarcastic mage. I tried one good guy playthrough, that got abored after likethree hours. Two red/aggressive playthroughs, both got to around middle of the game, just so boring. So I ended up playing through the game as a sarcastic mage, rogue, warrior and mage again. I'm just remembering that I never finished the DLC for that game >_>.

Speaking of DLC, DA:O DLC was pretty bad. Blergh. Just went though all that once. Well, the early ones like Shale (THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE MAIN GAME) and Honnleath were good, but the post-game stuff was buggy, short and silly. The most memorable thing is the Awakening epilogue regarding the choices you made =/

I never really enjoyed any of the romances in DA2. Morrigan, Leliana, hell, even Zevran were all damn cool. DA2? The guys were pretty terrible, and I'm not really into the awkward crazy fish elf or the std pirate slut ._. I'm kinda buying into the DA:I romance hype. I hope it's good, even if it sorta looks like they're just crossing points off a list with the romance options.

Well, here's to watching time pass by.

No romance options in the Keep? Sucks, cause that means they don't matter at all for DA:I. And missing quite a few choices...

Oh, tapestry. Some more work XD

She's a smelly pirate hooker. Actually I'm convinced her entire character was conceived just from that very line in Anchorman.

I'm up to the Mage's Tower in my replay. After some thought I decided to go with the Human Mage over the Elf Mage for my "canon" playthrough. Obviously not that much difference since they have the same origin, but the Human Mage has that tie-in with Hawke through the Amell family. Once I'm done I might do the decision checklist thing.

And she's proud of that, and doesn't give a fuck what you think. I respect her for that.

My main run in DA:O was a cold hearted Cousland rogue. The death of his family really scarred him. He joined the Grey Wardens reluctantly because all he wanted was revenge. Slowly grows into the role of a powerful commander. Romanced Morrighan. Best bioware romance IMO.

He marries Anora and becomes King Consort. Does the Dark Ritual and kills the arch demon. Heads to amaranthine for awakening, but on his way back hears rumors of Morrighan and follows her through the mirror. My head canon is that anoras knocked up in denerim. Cousland rule forever.

Da2 is just a pro Mage story.

So romances for Inqisition? I'm leaning towards Cass. I play my character (human Mage) as around 22-24 so that will be some hot cougar action seeing as Cass is almost 40.

Mmm, probably gonna go for Elven Mage, in Inquisition. As far as Romance goes, probably Cassandra, as well. Might do Josephine on my second run-through. Id contemplatd Sera, originally, but then it turned out she's Female Only, and I don't play female characters.

Unfortunately, neither of the possible male romances for a male character do it for me. I think zevran has kind of se the bar pretty damn high, lol.

Seriously though, best romances in Dragon Age have been Morrigan and Zevran.

For my first DA:I game I will probably use a fairly perfect world, slightly pro templar world since that was my favourite playthrough and I wonder what Bioware will make out of my head cannon.

Male Cousland warrior who romanced Leliana but for the good of the realm married Anora while still impregnating Morrigan. Other than that I played as an helpful and pragmatic guy who helped the elves/werevolves, saved the mages (since I needed them for the Arl), rescued the Arl and his family and but Bhelen on the throne while letting Branka live. I let Alistair kill Loghain as a reward for his loyal services and the made sure he remained with the Grey wardens. In DA:2 I also played a male warrior who romanced Isabela and slowly turned from a pro-mage guy into a Templar supporter since all the bad things that happened to him seemed to be caused by magic- at least his sister survived and joined and the Grey wardens.

For my character in DA:I, either an Qunari mage or a human warrior, don´t like elves that much.

I must be the only one who thought Morrigan was an annoying back street driver during the whole of DAO...
