The one question that matters that Jiraiya, Nagato, and all three Uchiha's asked wasn't even answered. It's like Naruto and Sasuke fought, then it was happily ever after. It's just so shallow although that isn't particular surprising.

As for the pairings, I've never cared about pairings in any story. This manga is no exception, although I can see why people are frustrated. It has a very JK Rowling feeling to it, everyone paired up and had children at the same age with people they have no minimal character interaction with. Meh.

Mei is also retired. Another silly thing as she seems far too young for that just yet and just seemed ham fisted in. Very surprising Onoki is still alive, although this is a manga, he was pushing high eighties during the Gokage summit wasn't he?

Next character design. Sakura is a house mom, very disappointing although I can see why it happened as a comparison too her and Mikoto. While Salada is going to be Sakura's daughter, she looks too much like Karin for me so that's either a plot point or bad design. Chouji, Kiba and Asuma's son look great though.

Other than that the only thing left is the futuristic things they threw in. It hasn't been internally consistent ever, but it does amuse me that they have Skyscrapers and laptops without even a basic road infrastructure. Rule of cool and who gives a shit I guess.

Maybe not in words, but certainly in actions. All the Kage are people that fought together in the 4th war, and arguably friends. The Gokage meeting in Konoha is proof enough that the world has entered a new era, where all the leaders of the Hidden Villages are friends and work together.

As good a solution as practically possible.

I'm so proud. Proud and happy. Happy, because it's over and proud, because I made it till the end. I have to admit, that it was tough. Occasionally I felt like Rocky, getting repeatedly punched in the gut and face, but I'm still standing. Yay me, I guess.

And now I honestly don't have a single fuck to give about those last chapters. Pairings? Meh, whatever. Hot chicks getting fat and wasted? Shit happens. Stupid kids (Bolt, wasn't that some dog?) and a stupid third part? Dragonball GT was ignored, I can do it again.

Now I'm off rereading Geor-sama's Naruto: Altered History to cleanse myself of this travesty.

After that very long battle the end just felt off and rushed. I dont know if I am happy with this end.

What does volume 72 will be on sale in February and next spring.... on the last page mean?

I'm guessing it means that the volume for the remaining chapters will be sold. We get the chapters weekly through shonen jump, but they are all compiled and sold together as volumes.

That's basically what I'm saying. I honestly don't ship any particular pairing, but this ending/epilogue...just horribly written.

Since I told myself I would finish the manga not read/watch everything in the universe. Yeah, I am.

And that's that, started reading it sometime around the wave-arc, feels like ages ago. Lost interest completely sometime around Sasuke's retard-rampage in Cloud and Iron country but it had been waning some time before that, ever since Part 2 started and the disappointments and rushed writing started piling up. Fucking training arcs, man.

Bolt fits with the whirlwind naming theme that Naruto has going though (or spiral, whatever) and he can copy his dad by hanging one from a necklace like the one from the First that Naruto has. What I am at a loss of is what the hell is the symbol at the back of his jacket?

I thought the epilogue went about as well as we could have expected. Honestly was alot shorter than i thought it would be. I thought the last 2 chapters were going to be 40 pages each or so.

Some of the pairings were huge WTF moments. Chouji and the chick from cloud for instance. Ino and Sai WTF...I totally thought Ino was gonna end up with Chouji, hell even Kiba maybe but...Sai??

And the names. Bolt and Salada...so generic. And what is up with Salada looking like Karin so much? How fucked up and funny would it be if on Sasuke's self-imposed journey, he ran into Karin, they had a kid, she died and he dropped his daughter off at Konoha for Sakura to raise. Cause we sure as fuck didn't even see them kiss or anything. And seriously, Salada looks NOTHING like Sakura.

Also, whoever linked that imgur of the forum posts being ridiculously in denial about NS. How in the hell do they claim NH made no sense, but had such faith and sureness that NS made sense? If anything NS made even less sense than NH. Naruto has always tried to get Sasuke back to make Sakura happy. Always lol. He came to terms with her not being the girl for him in part 1 when he said he promised to bring Sasuke back. Just...wow, that imgur gallery was amazing.

From what i heard, it says something to the extent of "Shitty dad".

You're slightly wrong. Kishimoto is not writing that at all. Someone else is. Itsuki Euruya i believe.

Man. The journey is, more or less, over. I kind of expected to feel something more at this point given I've been reading for so long.

All said, Asuma's kid is the best of the next generation - no name that I recall seeing, no stupid traits, looks cool, spends time with the previous Hokage.

Bolt... just baffles me. Horrible. And the skyscraper background behind the Hokage monument.

Bolt's attitude makes sense. Naruto is the type of Hokage that will try to go above and beyond all previous Hokage to serve his people well and truly treat them like family.

This inadvertently means neglecting his own actual family to the point his son feels cheated that his dad doesn't ever have the time to do anything with him like everyone else's fathers. Hence why he does the same shit Naruto did to get attention from his father where Naruto just wanted attention from anybody.

I meant that his name baffled me, rather than his character. His behavior is crystal clear after Naruto catches up to him and explains stuff. Where, and more importantly why, would "Bolt" make sense for an Uzumaki, or anyone for that matter of fact?

It's clearly a tribute name for Neji. It's somewhat subtle, but I think done in fairly good taste.

(Neji = Screw for the uninformed.)

I'm curious as to whether or not Naruto's kids can use the Byakugan, because they both inherited his blue eyes. Is Hyuuga wincest required?

In Sanskrit and Hindu Sarada means the goddess Saraswati. Saraswati is the Goddess of leaning, knowledge, and wisdom. The Sanskrit word sara means “essence” and swa means “self.” Thus Saraswati means “the essence of the self.” Saraswati is represented in Hindu mythology as the divine consort of Lord Brahma, the Creator of the universe. Since knowledge is necessary for creation, Saraswati symbolizes the creative power of Brahma. Goddess Saraswati is worshipped by all persons interested in knowledge, especially students, teachers, scholars, and scientists. Kishimoto took from Indian lore many times (see Indra and Ashura) so who’s to say the name didn’t come from there?

Oh and Bolt is a Neji homage.

So, I didn't read the last 100+ chapters cause, suckage. However I came back to read the final one.

First and foremost, finally good to see Sakura have boobs.

Second, I found it odd that no one seemed to wear their headbands. Only the Sarutobi's wore them. So, either nationalism is a dying institution among the hidden village or people just didn't feel like wearing them.

Finally, given the jump in technology I feel there is only 1 way to save Naruto. Develop a space program and put ninja in space!

THE VILLAGES ARE LESS THAN A CENTURY OLD.

Well, as someone said before, the Rain already had skyscrapers. Probably the reason Konoha and the other villages didn't have them before was something related to either security or more likely the natural progression of a city and thus in a period that would seem of lasting piece they turned to other business ventures that let the village develop that way. Since the Kage meeting seems to be something that happens often they probably have some kind of five kage government in which each manages their villages but make treaties with each other about what kind of missions it is ok to take, so the ninjas focus more on protecting the populace rather than taking criminal contracts or things that would make the ninjas fight each other. That and the obviously more lax stance they have with each other make it so that you can invest in infrastructure without ninjas wreaking your shit to gain some advantage over the other nations or infiltrating your village. So it wouldn't be that they didn't have the technology to make things like that before but that, somehow, the whole ninja business made it so that it might not have been the best idea at the moment. Maybe.

Better than saying they had a super technological advance in twenty years or so (which could be possible if they developed like nowadays society) it is that they already had the base technology to be like that but they weren't because the villages are less than a hundred years old. A city in our world could theoretically improve like that in that time frame.

Idk, the way I see it, if you pronounce Bolt in Japanese, it would come out as Bo-ru-to...
