I'm gonna choose to believe that Sasuke's kid is Karin is he foisted her off on Sakura when she died(because he killed her for being annoying). The SasuSaku pisses me off to no end. Especially since I'm probably gonna have an even harder time avoiding that pairing in fanfiction now.

 

On the other hand, the NaruSaku shipper tears are flowing like a monsoon and the taste is delicious.

 

I'm content with the OTP of Shikamaru and Temari. That has been the most obvious and I think well done pairing in the whole manga.

I just wish we could have heard Naruto's answer. I mean everyone else vocalized their ideals but with Naruto we're supposed to infer?

Either that, or he felt that the idea of sending a clone version of yourself to play with your own son so the real version would not have to make the time would be even worse.

I have seen the shadow clone idea argued, and it being pointed out that actually sending a clone for a major social situation like this could actually be pretty insulting.

I can see the point. If Naruto goes "Here, have this fake me so the real me won't have to bother with you", then from a certain POV its actually far worse than doing his best to spend as much time with the kid as he can afford and failing due to the stress of having just taken over a new and tough job.

 

In fairness, I could see the "make a shadow clone to spend time with the kid" plan being tried and backfiring. After all, he wants his real dad around, not a chakra construct.

 

Sounds like Naruto only recently became Hokage and Boruto, being a kid, is a bit upset that his dad doesn't spend as much time with him as before. It doesn't seem like a big fuss to me.

 

Are we really calling him Boruto now? May as well just call him Burrito Uzumaki.

 

I'll take Boruto over Bolt any day.

I'm sticking with Bolt personally. There's no way in hell i'm gonna call Luffy Ruffy, so i'm gonna call Boruto Bolt.

The only reason i disagree with this is because, sure for sending a shadow clone to a meeting with the hokages or something like that, I can see that.

But just to play with your son or oversee his training? I honestly can't see how anyone, including Bolt himself, seeing that being worse than not being able to spend time with him at all.

Also for people who say its only because Naruto recently became Hokage and thats why Bolt is acting out. You do realize Naruto isn't just gonna step down anytime soon? Regardless if its a new situation, it's going to be 'the' situation for the forseeable future for Bolt.

 

It's still not his real father. Bolt's clearly a bit too young to really expect him to think things through rationally or have realistic expectations of his father's time.

 

Except who can actually tell it's not his real father? Or that the real Naruto isn't with his some while a clone sits in the office?

There are things that can happen to give away a shadow clone vs. the real deal, and if that happens someone's going to get the double-annoyance of not being with the real Naruto and being lied to, explicitly or implicitly.

 

The problem of Naruto's job and apparent lack of attention for his son (I refuse to call him Bolt, it's to close to dolt) is blown way out of proportion. Whose father or mother didn't work the odd shift? Add the fact, that Naruto himself took care of the stupid kid's escapade shows that he cares.

 

Probably, and I'd rather just agree with the people who took exception to what I had to offer on the subject at this point anyway. I really don't care to think of Naruto that way, considering what he dealt with growing up. And really, it's hard to be too overwhelmed with sympathy for this kid's antics when you look back and realize that Naruto and Sasuke (and Gaara, Hinata and Neji and many others as well) had it so much worse.
