Good for her, that she has the errr......strength of will to give up on a major part of her life.

And how kind of her, to offer to give us "more information on getting saved". Just what I want. To join a sprawling organisation that exists more for self betterment than for anything else. Don't get me wrong, I have nothign against God, but I have a lot against the Church itself.

So, Im guessing that half of her "reasons" are made up. More likely she is some kid, who doesn't have enough time, or simple lost interest in her writing. Instead of saying that, she has to make up some sort of "big" reason so she can get even more reviews.

I find it funny that she says she likes slash in her profile... Maybe they still haven't managed to 'cure' her from that...

 

and it looks as if they never will cure her of that. The piece of evidence just prooves that she is lying. she probably relized her stories were shit and decided to quit writing.

 

There are a lot of people in the church who do not follow God and are hypocrites, but there are also a lot of people in the church who do follow God. So when you say you have nothing against God but a problem with the Church, I am assuming you had a bad experience(s) with hypocrites.

I would like to note that she did not say that she was "quitting" HP because God said it was evil, only that she had found something better.

 

Doesn't everyone find God or Jesus at some point? I'm pretty sure the last time I had sex, somewhere during the process I muttered 'Oh God, Jesus Christ, Oh shit', or something akin to that. ^_^

So even upon my finding of God it hasn't made me want to give up fanfiction, so something tells me she's just full of BS

Personally, I think she is just trying to get some positive and semi-meaningful attention. After all, we all see what the reviews for bad fics are. They are never helpful, and usually along the lines of "ZOMG tis fic roxxors my soxxors!!!!11!!!!" But with more grammar errors.

Fan fiction made her attempt suicide? If thats true then she really needs a life, or she should attempt again but actually get it right.

I'm putting money down that this is a ploy for attention and that she will come back within a month or so and pick her fic right back up. She probably wanted everyone of her fans to beg her to stay.

This is quite clearly a joke, some sort of piss take. I mean, why would the fact that you have found God (incidently I would like to know where!! under a stone?) mean that you give up fan fiction?

 

That's a good point. Why give up on something you love for God? Is it a sort of sacrifice? To get in His good graces? If so then its not a religion I'd want to join.

Having to give up one of the more entertaining parts of my life for an invisible, illogical being that probably doesn't care for us any more than the cockroaches in every bin (because everyone whose read the Last Continent knows that cockroaches are the pinacle of evolution) is not, in my mind, a Good Idea.

And that brings me to my next point, which church has she joined? If its Catholicism, is she going to denounce evolution as heretical and wrong, despite all the evidence pointing towards it (where as we have a few old geezers who wrote a book as evidence of God). Is she a Protestant, and of which variety? There are so many different 'One Gods' that it makes the whole thing seem ludicrous.

Ok I've had my rant (I really, really, really don't like the Catholic Church, no offence to Catholics, but I can't help but draw comparisons between it and the Bush administration) so we can back to the topic at hand .

But the parallels between fanfiction and God are probably more boinked-in-the-head nutters than the idea that there's only room for one of them at a time.

Seriously, this is a cry for help that other confused teens shouldn't be answering. Even if it's just to mock her. Save it for her parents, therapist, or newfound priest. And resist the temptation to leave anonymous reviews from "Jesus" and "God." But if you're righteous, "Tom Cruise" and "Dark Lord Xenu" might be apt.
