The story looks like it's going to be fun as hell. So glad Artanis ("Us," from Brood War, iirc) is around. I thought for sure we'd be playing through Zeratul's eyes like we did Raynor and Kerrigan, and I'm kind of glad it's looking like we won't be.

New multiplayer modes are amazing.

New units look cool as fuck. Balance can come later, but what we're getting is pretty damn exciting from what I've seen so far.

Imo, I think Protoss actually got the shaft in this latest expansion.

 

Wow, some significant changes. After it gets balanced off, it looks like it'll make pro matches way more entertaining.

Less time spent on just initial mining toward the start of the match (or otherwise known as, the time where you listen to Tasteosis pulling out the bad jokes). The micro focus of the units (Such as siege tanks being able to be picked up) should hopefully lead to more BW style micro-focused play. More drops, more fights happening simultaneously all over the map, etc.

 

The forced expansions should see a lot more early aggression, which is always fun to see.

 

Don't like. Breaks the game. The whole early portion of the game ISN'T slow or boring at the moment, it's when everything is made or broken. This is duuumb.

 

Eh, it'll be a change. I haven't played/followed SCII since 2012. About the time I started getting properly interested in Dota 2.

I've always thought about going back to SC2, but I feel like something needs to be different. Maybe this will be it.

The trailer is really cool. Almost enough to make me want to play starcraft again.

 

I didn't play a single ranked game of HOTS, but I will be getting this to complete the campaign. I like Starcraft, I just have no where near the amount of time required for me to get good at it.

 

I used to be really good at StarCraft and Brood War, but I never played StarCraft II online. It is a huge time sink if you want to get good at it. But now that the game is 'finished', I might consider it. Will definitely play the single player campaign, though. Been waiting a long time to see how this story will end.

Blizzard's cinematics - when they don't go all campy like in some of the WoW ones - have been pretty much top-notch since forever. This is not different. Whatever Blizzard's problems are - and they have several I can name off the top of my head - this ain't one.

In related news, I never knew I wanted HD Archon art. The merging and that one iconic quote gave me chills.

 

Yeah, Blizzards cinematically are about the only good thing remaining about the company I think. Not sure if I'm willing to pay $60 for the last campaign though. That's all I played in HotS, after being top 8 masters in WoL.

 

Right now it is sold for 40, and there is nothing written about it being a pre-order price.

 

$40 USD = $60ish NZD.
