I typically choose my class/race first based on story/roleplay options. I consider the Mage class to be the most interesting as well as the elf. However I'm thinking I'll play a human mage and then an elf rogue for my second playthrough.

Ugh...thinking of all the playthroughs I wanna do..

Despite this...and my previous post...I'm still torn on Josie or Cass for my first playthrough. Probably Cass because my first playthrough is always ruthless...

 

Cass reminds me of a bizarre fusion between Morrigan and Leliana.
Josephine seems like a bizarre fusion between Leliana and a water downed Isabelle.

Neither is a bad thing.

 

Enlightning, specially about Sera, not so much for Josie...

 

I find it kinda humorous that Freddie Prince Jr's Character (Iron Bull) is not really a romance option. He's the casual, FWB relationship.

It looks like Dorian, Varric and Cassandra will provide hilarious party banter. Varric and Dorian will be best sarcastic buddies. Cass will be tearing her hair out.

I love Varic, I don't think I'll be using him though. Finally decided on playing an Archer, don't want to double dip.

Cass is my only definite atm, romance reasons, even though she's seemingly the inferior tank. The Grey Warden dude has some pretty hilarious lines too IIRC.

Comes out 21st in Australia, which gives me a few extra days to work on my primary party.

Without healers, I might replace that spot with an offtank instead.

So Archer!Inq with Solas seems given at the moment with either Cass MT Iron Bull 2h OT

or

Blackwall MT with 2h Cass OT.

I'm told Blackwall is the best tank in the game, and that he steals the power of others and stores it in his magnificent beard, so I'm leaning that way...

 

Hopefully the Inquisitor and companions don't have pre-selected talents/skills, though that seems unlikely. At least there should be an easily and early accessible respec like in DA2. I replayed Origins last week with the respec mod. It's simply a necessary feature.

 

1 day until release. Will be able to pick up my pre-order tomorrow on the way home from clinic, so i can't wait.

 

Yeah, I have that one. The only way to respec without it is in Awakening (or you can fuck around in the toolset but that's tedious).

Speaking of mods, when you get rid of the ability for players to fix your mistakes you had better not fuck up. If they make faces as God-awful as some of Dragon Age II's (Alistair, to name a character likely to return) after having removed our ability to change it with mods I'm going to be pissed.

I think I'm going to get it for PS4 after all, since both me and my brother want to play it and it's just easier that way. I haven't preordered it so hopefully they don't run out of copies tomorrow.

Hm...Being the poor European that I am I still have to wait till the 20th. (or try my luck with vpn etc. but that doesn´t seem worth the effort).

If any of you preordered the special Inquisior edition, cancel it now. The bonuses are a steaming pile of donkey shit, demonstrative of the very best (worst) of EA business practices. Half the stock my store got in were broken on arrival. They're all poorly made. Blatant false advertising was passed down the chain all the way from the vendors shows months ago. Hear about those "real metal lock picks" that will be required to pick the lock on the secret compartment to get at some bonus items? Yeah, those are shitty bendy plastic pieces of crap. The "secret compartment" is a flap of plastic. A flap of fucking plastic with four plastic gold coins beneath it. The "usable quill" is.....ugh. And this is a $230 package in Australia. Fuck's sake, EA.

Just when I was giving them some props for delaying the launch, too.
