This is news? My bad I should of posted, that has been going around for a couple months now before this comic-con 'release'.

The Last of Us - My favorite game that I have never played, it almost made me buy a console to play one game. The movie has a lot to live up too. Fingers crossed.

 

Apparently Disney is moving forward with the remake of A Wrinkle in Time.

 

I'd love it if they did a full series, either The Time Quartet or Quintet (I didn't like An Acceptable Time much). Pretty exciting news, though I do think it's hard to translate A Wrinkle in Time to the screen well.

Though, I doubt this would be out in 2015, which is what this thread was about, technically, movies set to release next year specifically. Probably not enough people interested in the series to warrant a thread, but maybe.

 

Tomorrowland.

With everybody focusing on dystopian futures, this may be something different and exciting.

 

This is something I will definitely watch.

Also, that actress is ridiculously attractive.

 

Will watch for Cloontang.

That looks fantastic at a glance. I was really worried this was going to gear toward slapstick comedy; a la Night at the Museum but with Tomorrowland instead of the Smithsonian.

Could be disastrous, but it would be neat if this spawned a series of movies for each Disney World land.

 

I know it's a 2016 release, but Disney just announced Moana. It sounds fantastic, gives me a serious Wind waker vibe.

 

Blarg. More cg. I was hoping it would be animated with paperman's meander software. Le sigh.

 

What's wrong with CG? Sorry, you're going to be the target of my ire today.

Do you genuinely think CG doesn't look great? I ask because you're not the only person to express that opinion and it boggles my mind. Unless they go the route of Saturday morning cartoons like that new Star Wars series, how is CG a bad thing?

 

It's not bad at all. I just miss the whimsy and beauty of 2D Disney hand animation. Paperman, which used a blend of hand drawn and cg techniques, is perhaps the most visually stunning animated work Disney has ever produced.

 

That's fair enough, each to their own and all that. I dunno if i'd like watching feature length movies in that way anymore, but it'd be cool for their Shorts.

They have Chris Pratt and he didn't say even one joke in the trailer? I get they wanted to be taken more serious, especially with a mutant dinosaur running around, but a little self-awareness would help sell this premise.
