Yeah, he is The Master Of Death, his body still ages, but he will never die. It starts with him as a very old man (160 or something). The wizards are dying out becouse of some nuclear war and poisoning from that. He found a spell that was supposed to send him to "oblivion" which he thought was just figuratively speaking and would kill him, but it actually sendt him to the elder scrolls world. There he arrives in spirit form, but uses The Eye Of Magnus(?) to make himself a new body. Later he becomes Thane of at least two holds, discovers he is a dragonborn, learns all the shouts the oldest greybeard knows from some knowledge transfer thing, yada yada yada :p

Is there a story, where Snape (it can be a mere side note or the main focus, it doesn't matter) is in a more or less normal relationship (married or not doesn't matter) with some minor character? To portray him always as single is boring.

I've seen it a few times but I've never seen it done in a way I thought was actually good.

Snape begins dating some woman and the marries her at some point.

It's post OttP, with sequels covering Harry's 7th year and auror training. Its basic premise is a Harry/Snape mentor relationship, which progresses into adoption. You'll maybe need to suspend your disbelief here for a bit, 17yr old getting adopted and so on - though, this story is more realistic in that, after all the shit that Harry has gone through, he isn't exactly healthy mentally, psychologically or emotionally.

I liked it because the author is reasonably skilled at writing [mostly believeable characters, coherent plot structure] and, although she is a Snape fangirl [or fanwoman, she is an older writer], she can mostly temper it, resulting in a balanced story. There are a few scenes of Snape [metaphorical] masturbation though.

Anyway, at some point Harry learns
how to summon demons and proceeds to annihilate more than a dozen death eaters with them
which made the story more likeable to me.

Are there any decent Princess Mononoke fics out there? Kinda feeling a strange desire to see it continued.

I recall a few decent one shots on ao3, so it's probably worth taking a look there. There are no good, long fics for mononoke hime as far as I'm aware.

It's a good story, pretty much the only "severitus" story that I would even consider recommending. It's also in the dlp library, so there is that. Oh, and it's Harry/Tonks for awhile.

Any decent Harry/Tonks other than Renegade Cause? Complete and decent length?

I still derive enjoyment from The Summer of Change, FWIW, but you've probably read it.

It's a minor, early story element, but this shows up in Arsinoe de Blassenville's The Golden Age.

I can't give this a categorical recommendation, because it's not fresh in my mind, but I'm pretty sure I liked The Rebel and the Chosen well enough. It's complete and a decent length (180K). Nothing is standing out in my memory as being really good, but I'm also pretty sure I read the whole thing, so... give it a try?

I can second this. I really enjoyed the fic even if it hasn't aged exceptionally well.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I also read Summer of Change. But I'll try the one Newcomb mentioned. Thanks though.

It's amusing when new readers to the fandom discover old fics like that. It's only a matter of time before they realize that a vast majority of them are actually shit.

Anyone got know of a fic that subverts the 'Lords and Ladies' shite? While in my headcanon the Ministry's legislative branch must be hereditary I would like to read a fic where Harry gets a seat on said body, realises how fucked and corrupted it is and then tries to change it using his single vote only to fail. Bonus points if he goes on and uses the war with Voldemort to knock over the wounded Ministry then rebuilds it.

Neither the books nor JKR did say even a single word about any part of the magical governmental structure being hereditary in the slightest, that's all 100% fanon and yes, I'd love to read a story, where Harry does away with that kinda horrible anachronism. With extreme prejudice.
