As for why Nemrut. He was one of my weaker alignment guesses but mostly he jumped out at me as odd that he has absolutely ignore Quank entirely. I couldn't find one mention of him and that's weird when Quank is one of the stronger scumspects in the game. He just seemed to be avoiding any connection to Quank at all.

Fine. Here are my top scum reads. Also, it is the first time you asked.

Nemrut: No real content, not paying attention to the game, bad posts overall.

Quanksor: Awful read list, no scumhunting, early insistence on massclaiming.

Sloth: Lack of a presence, that bad plan he proposed, and his read list, where he mostly posted quotes instead of analyzing people, and he didn't pressure his scum reads.

Atum: Tunneling on me, not posting clear reads on other players, calling me scummy for saying I have a scum read on you.

The red bolded is a references to Fate/Stay Night and Nemrut's ava. Basically I was just saying that I thought Nemrut was pretty much absent anyway at that point, which would explain her lack of interaction with some players. Unless she'd done so with everyone but Quank by that point.

If you'll indulge me in a game of spot the difference I'd like to point out that like I said in the post you quoted, you avoided calling me scum. Comparig this to your Quanksor read just above it, I think the difference is pretty clear. It's the semantics that'll getcha.

I'm pretty sure I've said that I don't do alignments/interaction analysis very well, hence why I try to avoid looking for teams in favor of individual players. But since you brought it up, do you think your above scum reads are all a team. And do you have any scum reads that aren't 'top' scum reads?

Well, a few persons I'm reading as scummy but not on my top scum team are Q, Math, slightly Snow. Also, Fishy, but that might change after he posts some more, such as the questions he promised.

And I could actually see a team with Nemrut+Q+Atum+???.
Another team I could see would be Quank+Math+Sloth+???.

 

Rubicon seems very competent to me. He's in the category of people that I find in mafia who seem on the same wavelength in reacting to the thread -I'll be reading through and think of a comment and then two posts down he'll have said what I was thinking. Aekiel was the same, actually. But that's a different matter from scumminess, after all.
I think I'd put him at slightly town - he's saying a lot of good things, and nothing in his posts is tripping me up.

Hey fluffy, how'd you come up with your teams? Same question for anyone else that thinks they have a scum team pegged, even partially.

 

I personally think scum teams are a ridiculous concept to run with before we have a scum pegged. I know where fluffy got my one - interactions between me and Nemrut he found suspicious - but I always find it slightly ludicrous that anyone could think they had two scum found out before even finding one of them out. This is particularly funny in fluffy's setup, which has no overlap between the two - just go for the most scummy player, and if they turn up bad then look for reads based on that.

As to Quanksor - you're joking with the eliminating a sloth/you team, no? Because scum never votes scum, especially not when they're both on the block...
Not saying you both are scum, but those are the vaguely cringy moments that make me sure you're new to this - but someone says you're quite experienced? Sorry if I've missed where you mentioned it, I know I hate it when people do that to me...

As a corollary to the scum teams bit - there are times when that is justified, if there is consistent interaction between the two or a sense of shared knowledge, but its a rare case where two scum are that obvious that you can find it independent of catching one individually .

@Quanksor: The scum teams thing has actually been fairly accurate in a few games on this board. It usually doesn't get the scum actually lynched immediately, but if you look back at D1 reads, I've definitely seen people (fontisian) figure out most of a scum team. That's why she dies all the time. Anyway, I just wanna know what the thought process is there. Trust me, it's totally doable.

By "Experienced", I of course mean "Played 5 or 6 games, been lynched D1 in all but one, and that was because we had a turbolurker who literally never posted".

I contemplated voting Sloth to be honest. It seems very mean spirited to lynch someone day one whom seems to always get lynched day one. But Quanksor, and Snowvon have been the two people who have peeked my gut so far.
