Well I'm here and nobody else is. So that's a thing again. If I die toNight (doubtful) scum are in Quank, Math, Rubi, Lyr Snow, fluffmeister. In order that'd be quank, Rubi, Fluffy-guy, Lyr, MB, Snow. I agree with Q on the early lynch and in the future we should probably come up with a timetable for consolidation. Finals are done though, so I shouldn't need to catch up on 5 pages of posts (50 per page).

@Rubicon: It's a few posts above this so I'll address it now instead of tomorrow. I think at this point I've played in enough games for you to realize that me dropping activity for a bit is not alignment indicative. If not, fine, but I being far more interested in my own meta than you have noticed that no matter my alignment (town-scum-3p) this is the single most common argument for a lynch. It's getting old, fast. Yeah, I posted a wall of my opinions after pressure, two-fold purpose, catching up with the game state, and getting you to leave me alone. Snow doing it I can see, he can't read me right here or in IRC. You pulled it off in WW2, and honestly, this isn't how I remember you scumhunting. I'll have to look back to check but some of the stuff Sloth said about you twisting words was spot-on, though not always. Either come up with a case based on analysis, and tunnel
me or shut up and do it for someone else. Or pretend to.

I don't mind too much because in my experience, being a viable mislynch target saves you from NKs, but it's irritating to address the same thing every game.

I doubt scum would be using all their powers tonight since they are doing so well.

Early lynch meaning we lynch about 24 - 48 hours ahead of day end so people can talk? Also, maybe mod the rules so the lynched player can post like 5x before dying? That rule always gets messed with.

All the first day proved to me was that No Lynch is a good strategy for town on the first day of every game unless they luck out and scum shoot themseles in the feet.

 

I'll be ending twilight at Days end. To make this a bit easier on everyone: Lynchees can still post until the mod role reveals them. Please try not to abuse this.

 

Ok so here are more thoughts.

The way I'm thinking this if Question came forward with a read such as "X is guilty" then Oracle could protect them each phase? . As long as scum didn't know who ORacle was and town didn't mess with ORacle and Questions powers then we could have a townfirmed player in the game?

Obviously DO NOT CLAIM any of the above roles in any way. I'm just thinking about how to make this work.

The problem with being caught in these spats is that it prevents from actually think about the game so I guess just be quieter Lyrium.

Quick answer to Citrus: 1. "It seems easy." Or to translate, it seems like something a scum could easily do to appear to be scumhunting. It also seems to not engage anyone beyond "Eh, I like you."

2. In the post or after? In the post was after reading the entire thread to that point. I'm a slow reader, so that kind of hurt. Afterwards? Fair enough. Most I can say is I want to scumhunt more actively but it's probably going to come out all awkward.

You stumble out of your cell and down the sloping hallway, echoing laughter urging you on, mad raving whispered just behind your ears. Minute of excruciating effort and you collapse into a new room. An atrium. Seventeen hallways meeting in this one chamber.. or is it twenty two? It seems to shift back and forth in the corner of your eyes.


In the middle of the room stands a Statue. Thirty feet tall, all in green. Liberty, she might be called.. if the Joker’s crazed smile wasn’t stretched across her face. Instead of a torch a golden noose hangs from her right hand and you know all you need to do is hang someone from that noose to know who they are.



Immediately the arguments start. Accusations, counter-accusations, threats and insults start flying across the room. People’s twisted faces red with anger, trying to shout their detractors down. Until, finally, one person scales the statue, voice rising above the others.


“GUYS! HELLO! Now I know I would make an excellent Villain, one that would have the Joker quivering in his boots every time I walked into a room. But I am a Hero! Honest!”


He’s barely able to finish before you swarm him, holding him down as you fit the noose around his neck. The statue moves, lifting him into the air and the smile grows even wider, its laughter bursting through the room.

As said in Twilight I think we should consider Sloth's final few suspicions, Starting with Lyrium since he butted heads with her the most and will move on to rubicon later

we had just mislynched a decent TOWN role and player ...and her reaction instead of looking back to see what sloth posted and if there's any clues is to get automatically defensive over the suggestion we do.Then continues to doubt cast the town firmed player and his suggestions on a whole. And why? Because he's supposedly wrong on her.

So that means everything he says has no merit?

He mentions several people to look at and she pretends she has no idea where they are even though she was just getting defensive about THOSE too when I suggested Sloth stop talking and she stop encouraging him to talk out of respect for Kalas' rules.

Also there was no volleying. Sloth was very VERY clear he though Lyr was Riddler and there was scum in Rubicon and Snow and a lesser suggestion of I think it was Zenazo. Not sure I agree on the two former I need to look into them more but Lyr is acting the most suspicious out of this bunch

There's also the way she reacted to my suggestion we not lynch sloth today. I gave reasons. Rubicon countered with his own reasons why MY plan was too risky if sloth was scum. To me that's playing the game and a good point. This could be scum trying to point me away from stopping a mislynch. It could also be Rubicon just not trusting Sloth given his experience with him as scum in the past (see Sloths signature)

Not what I said at all. I said if he's scum we'd get more info out of him then we would Quank. It would have been riskier but it would have reaped more reward as well. Also it just ignores the entire argument I was making and substitutes it with a statement I didn't make. One that kind of makes me sound like an asshole at that.

Basically if someone posts a question or answer Lyr doesn't like this game it didn't happen or she makes up something that was never said.

So Sloth's suggestion was Lyr was Riddler. Her stance on no lynch would actually play into that. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Riddler would NOT want committals and lynches to occur. It removes players for them to guess the roles of. It cuts down on their chances to win. So...a no lynch suggestion WOULD be very beneficial the Riddler role.

For players who have been about longer....

Has this ever been a strategy of TownLyrium? I've played 2 games with her and CYS it was not and AYAW is was not from my memory. In fact. She actively encouraged lynching for information D1 in AYAW and saying No Lynch isn't favorable in open setup flip games

Mobile posting at the moment, time is short today(seriously, fuck relative gatherings at the holiday time, especially assholes that you have to tolerate until they leave :|) but I'll be here off and on throughout today.

First thoughts: Sloth being Robin has thrown my reads into disarray. I was certain he was the Riddler(like 90/10 split on Scum group) and his declaration of 'mod-kill me if you must' makes even less since now than before, because if we lose Batman ahead, then any info he had built up via interrogation is gone for good.

We also lost another good role in Black Canary from what I remember of the role list.

I'd hesitantly second Scum!Lyr based off her behavior over the last couple dozen or so pages and what you and Sloth have pointed out about her. She's been creeping up my wall since y'all's spat and proving defensive/caustic in the extreme.
