Well, I'm sorry for not considering posts such as these "content".

I would like some reads other than "oh, this person is just a null read" or "this person is town, but I won't say why".

The number of hours passed has nothing to do with the content of your posts.

What you said wasn't that we should never look at Sloth's reads, but that you would be ignoring his last posts, which included lots of his reads.

I took this to mean that you wouldn't look at Sloth, and was wondering why we shouldn't look at a confirmed Town's suspicions.

I was talking about your insistence on not looking at Sloth's reads, not your telling us that we shouldn't look at them.

 

Fluff I will call you out on cherry picking on this. You completely ignore posts 878, 888, 901, 923, 930, and 932.

The number of hours IS relevant especially after a mislynch as people need to go back and adjust their reads.

 

Actually, thinking about it now:
1. Fishy Justice is a random null kill
2. Fishy Justice was killed because scum read Sloth's post as Robin and thought that they could figure out who Batman was.
3. Scum chose Fishy Justice because he was on to something in his scum reads.
4. Scum chose Fishy Justice because Sloth's last will (Lyrium, Rubicon, Snowvon, fluffy) made them think that one of these could be the mislynch and so why not take out a random target?

Thoughts on this?

I'm subbing in for House because of an emergency. I am trying to catch up but I'm a little confused here.

 

He was a leaning scum nullread, so. Glad scum didn't shoot one of my townreads. I dunno if it's completely okay to just dismiss it as a "oh it's a nullkill" just yet, but? Because with the Sloth flip, scum probably wanted to look for Batman.

I really want to toss my reads into the wind but I also don't want to reread 40 pages so I'm just. Gonna look at Sloth-related posts and try not to cry.

So people I want to hear more from are Riley, MathBlade, and Malakittens.

Riley feels practically nonexistant, and I understand his concerns about the scumteam taunting him from the shadows after B&T but the whole "scum can't twist my words if I don't post! ha!" thing isn't gonna fly. It's Day 2, there's some hard data to look at, hop on it plz; MathBlade isn't as pushy as her town!self usually is, like she normally makes me stare at my screen like ??? ???? ? but the difference is that she feels more passive about it this time; and Malakittens just plain needs to post more.

There are other people (lots of people actually) I'm uncertain on but it's a little overwhelming so we're gonna chunk it out.

Most definitely.

I feel like 2 is the most obvious course of action when you kill someone who has role knowledge of someone else. But after that it seems more like he was a nullkill rather than him being on to something with his reads. Fishy was scumreading Atum/Quanksor/MathBlade (I'll double check but please correct me quickly if I'm mistaken here)? Or something? Which isn't really anything new/alarming, aside from the scum!MathBlade read, I guess.

Ok, so we have Black Canary being dead...

so did his ability trigger and his target was healed? or was he targeted outright?

 

If his ability activated, he and the killer would have both died, so he was probably targeted himself.

 

My question is does what is it Oracle protection trigger on the killer thus setting up that scenario?

Bottom to top, order of most sense.
1. Null kill seems unlikely to me. The odds of hitting a strong role(Batman) is about 1 in 11. Factor in player slips(Quanksor=/=Nightwing?) and that could probably be narrowed down further.
4. While this sounds closer to the reason, I still don't think a random kill would have been done. I'm more curious that Fishy Justice's role was revealed to us though. Shouldn't Croc have eaten the corpse? What do the Scum gain by letting that info go to light?
3. This sounds more like the right track. Further, I'd say 2 is the end result after putting something together from Sloth and Fishy Justice's posts.
2. The probable cause of death.

 

TerRaine, I would like your clarification on this post. What is it that you meant by it? Since from my perspective due to the fact that it was Robin who died, this night kill is likely to be suspicious and not random. Why make a post that could be seen as attempting to shut down discussion of the NK?

Can you respond to Post #968 since it seems like you have thought about the NK to some extent at least on a mechanical level?

My feel in response to point 4. Zen is that scum must feel safe at this point? If they didn't feel safe then they would be more likely to use powers earlier on whereas if they were reasonably certain that players weren't targeting them or suspecting them then they would hold onto skills for the long run?

Oh and Vote Quanksor.

Come out and play, you dissapeared day one but it won't fly this week long day.

Finally, there was discussion about consolidating a lynch 24- 48 hours in advance that way we could take advantage of Twilight and discuss things post the reveal. What are our thoughts on this? Should we put a timer deadline for this or pursue it?

I meant that I felt Fishy was one of the least active people and we weren't going to get much from his death. None of his stuff stood out to me and it seemed a NK to deprive us of info more than anything else.

Perhaps they thought he was batman....sloth didn't seem overly suspicious of him from memory (could be wrong correct me if so) but his game play didn't strike me as that.
