For people who enjoyed Knowledge is Power, It was DLP who got him to stop writing it, he couldn't handle the critique he got when it was posted in for rewiev. At least that is what I remember.

Nightmares of Futures Past by S'tarkan - He published an update to his other fic last year so I hope he comes back around this eventually.

Power of Time by Rosswrock - This is the original 'Harry strikes out on his own'. I haven't read it in years but I'd love to see it finished.

Acceptance of Fate by Arya1 - Very long and incredible well done. She said she was going to finish up the whole thing and post it at all once but never touched it again.

Backwards Compatible by Ruskbyte - Actually, anything by him would be good to see.

Lie I've Lived sequel by jbern - He has to write his original stuff now but I hope he'll come back to this someday.

Harry Potter The Last Avatar by The Sorting Cat - This one has been updated in the past year so I still have hopes. I've never read the Last Airbender series but this fanfic made me add it to my list. Well-written with good characters and clever world building. I still have hope.

The Art of Healing, The Black Sisters, and The Litany of Blood by jon3776 - I think Art of Healing was only one chapter away from being finished? I never heard anything about why he stopped writing.

I Second this all the way, Heart of Darkness is fucking epic....absolutely amazing and one the few good Dark Leia fic's.​

 

I assume you mean the Fem!Harry femslash fic?

At the time it was written it wasn't that clichéd. I still enjoy it even if I found the whole possession horcrux thing rather jarring.

 

It always made me sad that HP and TLA stopped updating just as it was getting really interesting. Story of most abandoned fanfiction, though in the grand scheme of things it wasn't updated that long ago.

 

It's probably not abandoned, but it's been a while, and I'd really appreciate a Harry Potter and the Turning of the Sun update.

 

I feel a bit bad because so many people have mentioned this story and I encouraged Jim to focus on other stuff. TLIL, though one of my favorite fanfiction stories, was left in a decent place, I felt, and the sequel would have only disappointed readers. Better would be to spend the time on his BSG crossover or take on a new project.

 

I feel the same way. A sequel could be really good, and I'd love to read it personally, but when I think of all the unsatisfying ends I've read, the stories abandoned or wrapped up clumsily, TLIL isn't one of them.

 

Honestly, I just want more of Jim's version of Hat

 

Still the best Harry/Bella fic I've read. Would love to see it get updated

 

Though I really have enjoyed "Only Enemies", "Control" is far better. Also abandoned.
