Most people thought I was an idiot my first game similar to this. (Well it was a mole game but still.) I earned the nickname Cement Head.
You're stubborn, but at least you talk to people. I think we've all done stupid things as town, but the willfulness of what Quanksor is doing if town is just... ugh.
Ter can you answer 1415? If you already have, just link to the quotes. More efficent that way. @Rubicon, I like patterns too. I love strategizing around said patterns as scum. Fake a fight with buddies, use daychat (which I strongly think exists given the 30 player setup thread from before) so it sounds real. @Math, I'm asking you how they change. Common sense says they'd have to change somehow. I'm trying to have an intelligent dialogue with you. ---------- Post automerged at 09:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:58 PM ---------- Now, think about who would want some suspicion in the game. Just think. Scum wouldn't deliberately piss people off. Yeah, he's not playing smart. His repeated offers to claim are idiotic and that's being kind. But he's got a brain under there and we can help him use it.
People all scumhunt in their own way. I'm more a vote pattern, objective realism kind of player. In fact, I'm the real far extreme. ika can basically say fuck logic, I'm going all emotional. We are literally two extremes. He'll find his own extreme, we just have to encourage him to post more so we can get into his head and help him analyze what he sees and how he sees it. That's how you treat town that are "useless". Suddenly useless town aren't useless.
Well I'd probably look at the people who sheeped me for starters if you're town. It would depend on a lot. I.E. How you died, what role you flipped. How people interacted before you died. I'd need more information. :/
Titus, here is the link. I'm having trouble not reading TerRaine as scum since that first slip and so therefore I need to get someone else take a look and see if I"m conf!biasing or not. Which is why I had preferred you look at the first day a little more closely but I guess that's not happening. However, TerRaine did bring up that she would give up her role to the Riddler to lynch me. So that is something I'm willing to follow to the grave.
Which first scumslip are you referring to Lyrium? The closest things I've seen to scumslips are things from you and Zenazo when you both assumed the guy who stops ppl from seeing our roles wasn't blocked.
I believe Kento mentioned she would be gone after a certain point and since there is that sense of urgency and 100% placement of me as Riddler or scum (even that - putting me in both categories) also sets me off. As well as all the drama because let's face it I was embroiled in drama with you and as Rubicon mentioned with FOntisian and its easy to push my buttons and then go "Oh gee golly whizz.. I was just playing the game." ---------- Post automerged at 01:06 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:05 AM ---------- Titus, I never know mechanics well..to much information. Like have you ever seen me know mechanics, I can do surfacey things but nothing quite complicated.
Also, don't put blinders on re: the CYS game, TItus because for ffs you were off by a lot that game. What do you notice here that's different in Zen's play here? Or mine?
That's the thing, such assumptions occur when people are being natural. Scum have to filter what they know and do not know. I like whoever was blocked as scum based on the fact that no one was devoured. Those players would be strong and consistently voting the same person. That person was you. Yet, you're assuming arguendo, that the target wasn't devoured which makes sense if you were hanging out with Batman last night. ---------- Post automerged at 10:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 PM ---------- ffs? I don't really do meta for that much. So I'd say not much for the both of you. Yet, I feel everyone's consistent to their meta. It's when I have enough for strategy that I see differences.
Er...no...I don't even follow some of that. ---------- Post automerged at 01:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:10 AM ---------- Batman didn''t interrogate me last night. Or maybe he did, or maybe he didn't. I don't know I was distracted by how well his suit fit. ---------- Post automerged at 01:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:14 AM ---------- However, more to the point why do you assume that Crocodile had to use his powers? In a long game like this why not consernve and save it for a rainy day or a better target?
Mathblade, I am asking you for specific reads if I am town. None of this I have to read stalling. What went wrong? Look into your thoughts. Lyrium, what do you not follow? The person who was blocked by Green Arrow and/or held prisoner by Batman would have a lot to explain given no hidden role flip. Those roles, if smart about the mechanics, would push the person they blocked as scum quickly. Four or Five people jumped on your wagon fast today. Logically that suggests you were blocked/in jail. You then suggest/slip that the hidery person wasn't blocked. That helps throw suspicion off of you but the wagon doesn't slip because people know basic mechanics. It's not rock solid because of the bus driver here.
The croc (I take it that's the role hidery guy), has three uses. Scum have no fake claims. They hide someone, that gives them a fake claim for when they are run up. Right now, scum have zero. They'd have to be stupid not to use it.
Fake claims are a weird thing in a game with a Riddler...like what use would a fake claim have if the Riddler could then guess it and then idk out the scum? ---------- Post automerged at 01:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:18 AM ---------- In fact, I would argue that too much knowledge of mechanics is actually more scummier than being oblvious like Zen was. ---------- Post automerged at 01:22 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:21 AM ---------- Instead of a "scum" list I'm doing a "defending people" list right now.
My answer is you are scum until proven otherwise since you claimed. I'd assume croc covered up your scum role and that Two Face is dead.
