Because if you are town and killing yourself than obviously the town wants to know your reads before you die?

    Oracle =/= Cop.

Yes that is a dilemna. But not one you need to bring to the attention of the world - if scum, then determine it for yourself and keep it quiet, if town, than obviously you want to keep it quiet. Telling the whole world (or hinting it extremely) forces the issue and helps no one.

FTR if I was as certain as to her scumminess as you are, I would probably vote for her, keep quiet on crumbing, and push her lynch whilst evaluating in my own mind about her role/scumminess. She had no votes (IIRC), so she wasn't suddenly about to die anyway.

Trust me, I am even worse at roles.

No shit. :( There I actually agree.

@Q -- Again Titus spews bullshit and you don't vote for her why?

@Rubicon --Even if you view her readwall as a joke then why the hell aren't you pushing her for a real one?

    C'mon. :/

    What caused this?

Seriously, it's clear a lot of players disagree that he claimed scum. Care to argue about it instead of OMGUSing the world?

That's Mathblade's MO this game. Unfortunately, she's not getting lynched. At least now I feel like someone gets it.

@Mathblade, I'm voting you to try and get a response about how my thing is shit. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm tired of people ignoring me, so stop ignoring me, answer, and I'll unvote you.

I'm not passing judgement until I'm caught up. Maybe by then I'll want to vote you for real, maybe I'll be back on Lyrium, maybe I'll go for Titus.

And FFS, people aren't seeing the answers in '1050, a lot of people. Maybe instead of OMGUSing people you should be reiterating or trying to answer in a more clear way.

Lyrium is voting herself in some misguided gambit.

TerRaine has apparently agreed to commit suicide by Riddler if wrong.

Riley is being antagonistic and won't talk to me about his reads.

Quanksor is refusing to talk at all.

Titus is stubbornly sticking to her views like Titus usually does.

MathBlade is absolutely convinced she's right about her interpretation of things and literally all-caps posting her views over and over again.

The rest of the players are either barely present or not doing anything or scum.

I guess I could try to work with Qgqqqqq.

I know it was a mistake. The Oracle in greek mythology is an all seeing person thus making sense with the cop in my head.

I tend to weigh cost benefit analysis.

As for what made you scummy from my perspective before was you not taking a stand, you certainly have now and I can follow your train of thought. I have minor buddying concerns (such as scum knowing I'm town) but I feel better about you a fair amount bc I can track your thought process.

Mathblade pretending that everyone who types "I'm scum" is actually claiming scum.

Except it only works if he is town. And if scum, requires a lynch+taking down another town.

    Not the same thing.

Qqqq I say that Quank has caused positive drama, by that I mean he's stirred up reactions from Lyrium that helped me solve her. The willing to claim non-sense is horrible. :S

Sloth thought Quank was scum. Maybe not as strong as others, but he definitely thought it.

    Agreed.

Since you see Math as scum, and we aren't lynching her (and I don't know why, I'm being charitable in stating risk averse), can we talk about Lyrium? Scum rabidly defending someone without reasons and insisting on voting the town should send up alarm bells that Lyrium is very valuable scum.

---------- Post automerged at 01:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:24 PM ----------

Reread it again. There's some things you were missing. He encouraged others to vote himself at the end of the lynch.

Sloth is a charismatic player. Charismatic players do not get lynched day 1 unless they want it.

If he felt that either him or a fellow townie was going to get mislynched, he picked himself because he had the least useful role.

I thought Lyrium had never been scum before?

    If scum too, IMO.

Lyrium has. Math has always been town... until now.

Qqqq not completely stupid as scum. He's just new. We've all been there but Sloth's actions pretty much townfirm Quank if you understand why Sloth tanked it but I think I've guided too far and not enough there.

Not taking a stand on whom, btw? This is probably because of not reading the thread, I've been catching up/phoneposting all of day 2, and I think it shows.

I haven't said I find Math scum, BTW, that was stating if I was as certain as you.

Qgqqqqq, I don't actually think Quanksor is planning to claim. Hence calling his bluff.

---------- Post automerged at 01:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:43 PM ----------

Lyrium was scum with Citrus in her first game on DLP. I think it was a Dresden-flavored game.

That was a long time ago, so that meta is out-dated.

However, I've also seen her be scum in a lot of shorter, fast-paced games on IRC and that's where my impression mostly comes from.

I never really found you as having a solid stance at all. You posted a lot of content, which was the basis for leaning you town at first. Then, as time went on, I couldn't follow your positions on things. As scum, I like to post a lot of content but not take positions and that's my concern.

---------- Post automerged at 02:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:49 PM ----------

Quite possibly and your course of action wouldn't necessarily be wrong. If I could be persuasive and subtle, I might follow the same course of action. Yet, the amount of role related explanation I have had to do shows that I cannot actually do that. Perhaps that's because my scumhunting involves finding and fitting pieces of puzzles much more so than relying on emotional twinges. Setups like this are fun but they are challenging because they require playing in a manner I am not accustomed to and that highlights my weaknesses.
