This might be just the ticket. Sleep deprivation is making this pretty amusing. A fat, boys-and-chocolate-and-credit-cards obsessed Fleur is oddly compelling.

For light reads you are better off reading humor fics rather than mostly substandard romance stories in the fandom. I would suggest either Fantastic Elves and Where to Find Them or Lily and the Art of Being Sisyphus. Also, The Original Naked Quidditch Match is very good and is one of the very few classics that are still good today. It is rather short though.

 

You know this fic, where Harry realizes, that he is under a love potion, breaks free from a Oder escort and somehow Hermione has something to do with this, too, probably (she may be also under a love potion, but I'm not sure)? Sorry for not giving much information to go on, but I have a bad memory ;(

Upon seeing this question, you're pretty sure that Golan is thinking of Bungle in the Jungle. You may be wrong, because there are plenty of lesser attempts at this style of story, but you're pretty sure this is the best one to talk them into reading. Somehow, you should probably warn them that the writing style may take a bit of getting used to, but they'll warm up to it if they give it a chance.

Did anyone make a Fic where Ron is more than just either a Carbon-Copy of Canon or something to be repeatedly Bashed with a nuclear-grade hammer? He doesn't have to be the main character, just more of a real character without making him 110% pure Canon.

Anyone know of any stories where elemental powers are common place? I.e people have a disposition to be able to easily manipulate one of the classical elements? Preferably not an Avatar crossover.

 

Prince of the Dark Kingdom has a unique and refreshing characterization of Ron. Definitely. Not a carbon copy of canon Ron. Also, Incorruptible: The Dementor's Stigma characterizes Ron well.

 

Sixteen Years has a bit of that going on, where people are attuned to one element or some aspect of magic in some way. It's a passable time-waster if you're not picky.

Another request, anyone ever read a story that's actually decent where Harry saves a Kitsune? I found the concept intriguing but haven't found any fics that are actually readable.

edit: google says its either the Japanese word for fox or a French electronic music label, neither of which seems to make sense in the context.
