Far out the Lyrium push is growing too fast (5/6 out of 8 from where I am, and counting). We don't want anyone getting lynched this early.

With reread and contemplation, I'm pretty sure that Mathblade is town. However, I don't like her efforts to herd people into a townblock, as I think she's overly certain about her reads. Given certain things I am now reconsidering, I'm wondering if her Lyrium read is based on more than just her hyperbolic opinions.

Just BTW Lyrium, there's no way that 2face would use their kill power on someone so near the lynch. When they use it, it'll be on someone that most of us have cleared town (TerRaine). Unless they know your role, but they've no out-of-thread way of finding that (IIRC).

 

If I had another person actually read it and see what a liar Math is, I wouldn't have to reference it so much. *shrug* I am running out of ideas because evidence does not seem to work.

This is a continuation of your overreaction to thinking Titus had implied you were her buddy, which was a hypersensitive scum reaction if ever there was one.

This is exactly what I mean about you trying to sound reasonable and pro-town in easy ways.



@Titus: Here is a meta case against you so that you at least have something to push back against:

1) You're more open to compromise and working with other players this game. I'm open to the idea that you're consciously doing this to improve your town game, and I'll definitely look through some of your more recent games. However, this is only one point.

2) You are less paranoid and your reads are more stable. For example, in that CYS post, I pointed out how you got paranoid and decided I was buddying you too hard. Instead of using me as your townbeard, you resisted my town read on you and pushed back. In this game, I see nothing like that thought process, and I do get the impression you may be using the people who townread you as support. (Ter, for one.)

3) You are adopting other people's "logical" and mechanical arguments as your own when they suit you. Case in point, Ter's argument about Quanksor's crumb. Whether or not you believe that's what happened, since I'm skeptical of her argument and suspicious of you, I think you are using it opportunistically as more reason to stick to a fake read.

4) Those logical and mechanical arguments are happening instead of and arguably in an attempt to emulate the 'moon logic' you tend toward as town. (And yes, I realize that what people call moon logic is sometimes spot on and just hard for others to follow -- still, it has a flavor to it, a style of leaps of logic, that's missing this game.)

5) You're townreading some of my scumreads (like Qgqqqqq) for not-very-strong reasons and given your position on bussing, I am understandably wary.

That wasn't what I said on Mathblade. She is scum-reading me because of the buddying/in-sync-ness she felt Titus and I had after Titus' appearance. I never said your and her reasons for pressuring me were the same.

The core is sound, in that I feel Titus has been overly friendly towards me, in a manner that seems more focused around showing that connection/befriending me, than it has around actually using it to present knowledge to the thread/pressure anyone/be used in a natural fashion. This, I feel is either part of a concentrated approach to try and get me(/others) onto his side, or accentuate said relationship in the eyes of others (Mathblade and so on) for after she lynches.

Give me a mo on the example.

 

1) You do need to do that. See InuYasha for the trigger and any game with extensive posting by The Light. I give a similar explanation.

2) I am just as paranoid Rubicon but I am set in my scumteam. Lyr is mechanically confirmed. Math is confirmed by lying and CYS. Atum is probably scum due to play. Citrus is an opportunistic guy. Zenzao knows too much. There ain't much room for more scum. So everyone else must be town. Only really scummy behavior would shake. See InuYasha for similar thinking.

3) You are right I am. However, I vet them first. I do not claim yhem as my own. If it's a logical coherent sound and valid argument it should be included in a case. I don't adopt when it suits though. I adopt when it's right.

4) That's because you get me. There have never been logical leaps. Period. My assumption is that players act optimally with the best info they have. The rest flows. Croc being blocked fliws. Lyr scum flows from that. It sounds morelike you like Lyr mire than me in game and I cannot flail wiyh the passion she can.

5) *shrug* That comes from having a strong scumread team and not seeing a case about anyone else. If you want me to see Qqqqq as scum, you need a case.

 

As in, my overreaction is undoubtedly slightly exaggerated because of Mathblade finding *my* supposed buddying of Titus as scummy.
