So I have resolved to be a more active writer this year and finish some of my fanfics. To that end I have resolved to finish Retsu's Folly and The Stalking Blood Sack.

But, as you all know, I have tons of other stories. So I have put up a poll. What would you like to read from me OTHER THAN Retsu's Folly and Bloodsack.

Vote and post arguments for your choices below. Note that these aren't all the unfinished fics I have out there, because the poll only goes to 10 options and frankly the ones off this list are ones I am unlikely to get to this year. Either because their scope is way too large or I'm bored of the idea.

New Project: Solitary with Neo [Harry/RWBY] - At the graveyard Harry grabs on to the Cup and Cedric's body as spells from Death Eater's collide with him. He is transported to Remnant where he lands in the middle of a street holding a dead body. At odds with the law of the strange and dangerous new world he falls in with a mute girl, Neo. Together they fight the system to save the disenfranchised and Harry falls deeper into the criminal world. All the while Harry tries to find a way back home to warn them of Voldemort's rebirth. Possible pairings with Neo or Cinder or Weiss.

New Project: The Potter Menace [Harry/Star Wars] - Harry chases after Snape and Malfoy after Dumbledore's execution. Focused on his duel with Snape he misses Bellatrix's spell which launches him into a galaxy far away and a time long ago...into a Sith Academy. Enraged that despite an entire year spent trying to convince people of Malfoy's evil Draco is successful in his mission, Harry is ripe for the dark side of the force. Unfortunately, he was born without midichlorians - but that doesn't stop the curiosity of the Dark Lords of the Sith and soon Harry is as much an experiment of the Sith as he is a member.

 

Obviously, the world needs more of Alabaster & Vermilion.

Failing that, In the Clockface, Weighted and Weary

 

You should finish Devil Pact, as that will in turn inspire Jon to write more of his Fic. It's a win/win situation.

 

This world needs more The Gamer content.

Out of curiosity, The Stalking Blood Sack is almost done, but how long are you expecting Retsu's Folly to be?

Anyway, for me it's a hard choice between Devil Pact (because like Luckylee said, it's indeed a win/win situation) and Kincaid Care (which I completely forgot about, but is awesome). That's why in the end I will vote The Potter Menace. I'm curious how you will fare with Star Wars and HP/Padme is something new for me.

Folly is a lot longer. In my mind there are three arcs, one of which is quite boring to me now, so I intend to either do away with it or resolve the issue it resolves off screen. I expected Folly might be another 70k-100k.

 

How come "In the Clockface, Weighted and Weary" isn't on the poll at all though? No intention of continuing it?

 

Sighs of The Neglected Flower,
Saving Ivy, and The Potter Menace are the stories that appeal to me the most at this point.

Sighs of The Neglected Flower has a fantastic relationship between Harry and Lily. Was really disappointed to see that it was abandoned just when it really started to get interesting. Also, assassin!Lily is hawt.

Saving Ivy is one of the more unique takes of Dresden Files/Harry Potter crossovers and contains my favorite characterization of a young Harry.

The Potter Menace could be a good Star Wars/Harry Potter crossover which we are sorely lacking.

 

Awesome that you will finish Bloodsack.

Other than that, obviously I agree with Republic. On a lesser not, Dumbledore's Man and Alabaster would please me very much as well.

 

Maybe today is not the day to use that kind of language? I don't really mind but it seems poor taste.

In regards to In the Clockface This story falls under the category of having too large a scope. I am already doing Retsu's Folly which I predict has something like 70k-100k left. In the Clockface is easily a 200k fic, unless I learn to write engagingly with brevity between now and when I finally get to it.

It's not so much as abandoned as me realizing my limits. Almost all the other stories on the poll are 'lighter' projects.

Btw, I'm fucking around with the pairings. I saw Natalie Portman winning because...Natalie Portman and had to do a 'save.'

Don't worry, though, Naruto still bangs a wasted Tsunade.

 

Feh I don't care about Retsu or blood rap. I have yet to read a great sw Xover and I like Ivy. I also like the experimental stuff.

But gee, banging Natalie Portman gets the most votes, what a shock.
