Looks like he's summoning characters from books.

 

Indeed, there's Willy Wonka and one of his Oompa Loompas, there's the Rabbit and Alice from Alice in Wonderland, there's Dorothy and Toto from the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, there's Saphira from Eragon, there's obviously Winnie the Pooh, there are the three blind mice from that one fairy tale and I'm not sure but the small orange dragon might be from A Song of Ice and Fire.

EDIT: oh, and if you look closely there's also Charlotte's Web.

 

There is also a Velociraptor somewhere as you can clearly see Jurasic Park on the shelf above HP books.

There is also the one ring, and I think one of the mice from the redwall series.

 

While yes, he's using magic to summon the characters from books, I think the artist's intent was a somewhat deeper message about the "magic of reading" bringing fiction to life.

But yeah. Harry's conjuring himself up a couple of hotties.

Also, lol at the Harry Potter books themselves being on the shelf.

 

I find it more likely with the coloration that it's a Bronze fire lizard from the Pern series of books. Aka what genetic engineering made into full sized dragons.

 

Which is something I wholeheartedly support.


Also, funnily enough Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is also present.
