Whoa...if that's any indication, you have a ways to go. You have to finish Harry's schooling, which is a major chore, seeing as most authors can't even get to Christmas Break of his first year, get him to somehow kill Voldemort, install the whole Praestanti thing and then exterminate the muggles, while implementing a completely original plot device in 001-CSE and a whole slew of other new things. I gotta tell you, buddy--this is going to take forever to write, if you write all of it out instead of skipping around. However, if you do manage to finish it, this will go down as one of the best stories in the fandom...period.

It was a very enjoyable chapter, IMO. I thought that it really showed just how much Harry has to change from wide-eyed, 11-year-old boy to this ancient superwarrior/leader. Once again, if you manage to finish this, it will be--simply put--fantastic. Great job, keep it up and update soon.

 

While I am not sure of the definition, My interpretation is that it is very similar to the 'great game' from Wheel of time. Its set up so that Each of the familes, such as the Malfoys, the Potters, the Blacks and such is seen as a great house, with smaller familes being part of that greater House. Each of the familes fights for both Prestige and wealth. Everything is ripe for manipulation. Assasinations would be ripe, to remove the head of a family to cause chaos in it, or to remove a younger member who shows to much talent for the other houses to be comfortable at.

Another way to look at it would be quite similar to how the Tsunari behaved in the Riftwar series I soppose. Small wars would break out between the great houses as they fought to become the most prominet member.

Of course I could be completly off my mark.

Thats pretty much it - though on a world wide scale. Now a system wide scale, only Lightening Station is neutral territory.

I had Dune, the Great Game (WOT) and Riftwar heavily on the brain when I established this model - it's the free market gone wild.

As you see more interaction between families and characters, as the plot progresses, Praestantia it will become clearer

 

Wow, this is the most 'Slytherinish' Harry I've ever seen, and I like it! Eagerly awaiting new chapter. Also, as I concluded, Harry practically immortal with his CSE - nanites can stop aging process?

 

Or at least slow it down. Remember that dumbledore lived to be about 160 or thereabouts and his exam instructers were still alive in cannon. CSE intergrated itself into Harry's Magical Core and has been continusesly improving both it and his body for over two hundred years. If a magical Core allows people to reach ages of about 170-180 Then if the core is continuesly expanded I soppose Harry has a very long lifespan.

Oh a question. What happened to the other magical Creatures in the the time of the interlude?

 

To be honest, I haven't really decided. The families would have tried to exploit them for use in Praestantia but some magical creatures couldn't be exploited. I can imagine the goblins taking a particularly blood thirsty veiw to being used.

I would stay that they are as much part of the 'art' as the pureblood families.

 

For a second I read the Centauri ship as the Centaur ship. My only thought was how in the hell did the horsies get better technology. I'm glad I read that wrong.

 

I only wanted to ask when the mext chapter of this excellent story can be expected.

I found this to be an exceptional read. There however wasn't as much written as I would have like though. I am looking forward to more in the future. The idea of something other than magic enhancing Harry in his early years is an intriguing one.

I have a feeling that the last two chapters have been removed on purpose do to his structure of the wizard's society not being united and he might not have been able to fix that in future chapters.

That is just a guess though that stemmed from the conversations here.
