Thanks guys! Much halp, very appreciated! Of the fics mentioned, I read The Apprentice, A Butterfly Effect and am midway through To Fight the Coming Darkness. Heard of Abraxan's fics, they're on my to-read-in-case-of-emergency list, but I heard it's veeeery old and the things it does are clichés by now?
About The Lie I've Lived... again, heard of it, but people said it wasn't Harry/Fleur so much as James/Fleur? As I understand it, that Harry is a mix between canon!Harry and James? Sounds dodgy.

I am a bit of a sucker for good romance stories. I've been hunting down this mysterious "Long, quality" romance for some time, but I hadn't been able to find a perfect one. Delenda Est is the one that I've enjoyed the most.

Not every Romance has to be totally focused on the relationship. Actually a lot more romances would be better if they didn't focus solely on the relationship. And yeah I know Harry/Astoria/Daphne is fubar but who said the relationship had to be healthy?

 

Just because there's a relationship doesn't make it a romantic one.

 

Eh, I'm more interested in the fact that a fic with rape of the main female interest in it is considered long, quality romance. Sure, I guess technically it could be all of those, but if you're actually trying to get enjoyment from the fic.... well good luck. And I don't mean any offense to Pers as that fic has been the topic of debate every since he posted it, but it's not something I would just recommend to someone who is actively looking for a romance fic.
