Big apologies to everyone, my meeting dragged on and I just reached home, probably won't be able to give you guys a scum read until I wake tomorrow, but I will, as promised, answer my own question if anyone wants.

Rank: I would put Tia as the most important role, then Brittany, then Zola.

My reasoning: Since this game contains role-reveal upon death it is, based on my past experience, relatively less significant to have a info-role. This is not saying Brittany is not useful of course, if anything Brittany would be of big help figuring out Maewrynn and Allocen, but in comparision Tia's ability to die in stead of a character can be game-changing around Day 2 onwards. As for Zola, I agree with you MathBlade, I do believe that the randomization element makes it a lot more unpredictable. In this case I am thinking mainly of 3 scenarios.

    1. Zola slams into the scum making the night kill target, it is redirected randomly. Given that the composition is 11 town 4 scum 2 3rd party the chances of it killing another player who is not scum is still considerably high, BUT it may be useful if scum needed the specific player to die. If not, chances of it hitting other important roles are also quite high, which is not desireable.

    2. Zola slams into the town power/info roles and role blocks them accidentally. This is probably the worst case scenario because instead of any chance of this doing damage to scums it will hinder town instead if they were trying to use their abilities for specific people.

    3. Zola slams into scum info/power roles besides the night kill guy, so scum ability gets disoriented. Again, this may be good if it's Marewynn or Cristiel or Allocen because it messes up their plans and may randomize to a vanilla role/relatively less important role. This is assuming scum is competent. If scum is not competent, however, this redirect can direct their investigations/role block to more important roles which is again, not desired.

---------- Post automerged at 10:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:53 AM ----------

Oh to add onto point 2 if the town power/info makes a mistake zola may actually help the power/info role to redirect to scum/3rd party instead, which would be the best case scenario.

Scenario 4 would be the safest option if zola hits vanilla town, so it comes to risk taking I guess.

Rubiconicon: Why you're right, I don't have a scumread on Bill. Mostly because his frustration and persistence are tentatively pinging as town.

I've been around the block a couple times, y'know? I know what I'm doing. Usually.

Bill Door: At this point I don't understand what you're looking for. I already told you I questioned the intent of #51. If you want an explanation of why, I'd suggest you follow my earlier advice and look at Riley's post on the issues he had with it. I was thinking pretty much the same things he was, minus the bit about it proactively setting up a potential fakeclaim IIRC, or something to that effect.

Now seriously, please go attempt to apply pressure elsewhere, you're starting an ugly D1 trend.

@Von: You've been surprisingly quiet lately. What do you think of Bill and Rubi?

TerRaine: Pretty sure Rubi is voting me as of #156.

Also Rubicon, given that you cite #36 in #156 in regards to your own alignment, why did you respond the way you did in #59?

Why, why, why? I'll ask real clear this time.

Why is it a bad thing that the only purpose in Zenzao's post was "to say that discussing claiming would be unproductive and to show activity"? Why? Give an actual reason.

I'm not stopping till you give a proper answer. We got all day for this shit.

I'm here and going through the thread.

    ---------- Post automerged at 11:51 ---------- Previous post was at 11:45 ----------

I agree that his frustration is probably town. Although if he's 100% into the Atum tunnel, it'll give him something to do without necessarily doing anything else so that could be a problem later on. He can be town for now.

Well, for one, when you initially voted him, the vote seemed to be completely irrelevant in the post's context. You were super defensive over being compelled to check the flavor for errors, or something. And then you slapped down what was probably a reaction vote. Why is Atum scummy for thinking it's scummy that you would focus on something that doesn't have much to do with the actual game?

I think Rubicon and Atum are both town, so you're gonna have to explain further.

Hi Atum! I think I might actually be townreading you this game. Please don't make me regret it.

I think they're both town. I may have to think harder about Rubicon, if only because I'm not as confident as I was in Batmafia.

    Unvote
    Vote: Zenzao

I could hop on the fluffiness wagon but I don't have reads on the three people voting him so eh.

Because OMGUSsing is an easy way to vote someone while providing absolutely no reasoning. Therefore, you're saying that Lucky voting without reasoning is a town tell.

---------- Post automerged at 12:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:10 PM ----------

And the last time Lucky voted me because of my favorite color and nothing else, he was scum. So to me, that's a scum tell of his, providing votes with no substantive reasoning.

@HF In a vacuum your probably right, but given the timing I'm not taking it as a major sign again.

Speaking of which, Snowvon, are you scum again?

    Oh you.

But my point was that his vote is not a town tell, since I've seen him do approximately the same thing as scum.

I did see, and I couldn't stop laughing given that I had already dropped that crumb in the other game. Yea, I did that notification to a random Lucky once already.
