Atum and Plotless...You've been a bit on the quiet side. What are your thoughts on Titus?

The clear reasoning behind your vote just shocks and astounds me. It's so deep, so incisive, so profound and insightful that I really don't know how to answer it. Your arguments are extremely good and so comprehensive that I find myself unable to respond to them.

But seriously, would it kill you to ever explain your votes?

It's more of a rant than something I actually want to push, because...I really don't understand it. "Damned if you do damned if you don't?" You're really not. It isn't something you're supposed to think or worry about, which is why it looks scummy. It's the only time in the game where you're free to vote whomever you want for whatever reason you can dream up. If anything, I'd think you would be more uncomfortable not participating and looking opportunistic or something later on.

    That's all.

Town: Rubicon and Titus (despite some of her posts)
Scum: Uh, I have a lot of these. I'll say Waco, since I'm voting him, and Sloth. Someone said Sloth has been posting/defending his reads? Was it his fluffiness? Because I do not remember that happening at all.

My slight beef with Titus started with her Rubicon tunnel. She jumped on him for this:

I thought it was fairly obvious he was just reaction testing, because otherwise. Why.

She then keeps insisting he's scum for no other reason than he failed to explain the above statement/vote (even though I'm pretty sure he did?):

And then yeah, Rubicon explained his thing here:

Which. I guess Titus wasn't satisfied with. And she went back to just calling him scum.

Another thing that bothers me is her interactions with Luckylee? She isn't getting him to do things like I'd expect her to.

At this point the only people who were attacking Lucky were myself and Rubicon (correct me if I'm wrong, I was skimming).

    I dunno. It feels like I'm building a scum!Titus case here, but...I don't think she's scum. So.

Care to also explain why you tried to play dumb about the whole thing?

It was pretty obvious what I was referring to. Why did you wait for me to spell it out in the alphabet soup?

Hmm. I looked back, expecting your post to be after Xanidel's, but it seems I was mistaken, and your answer does indeed come slightly before his post.:facepalm

No, he's right, I really don't, except for the bit of paranoia screaming that Rubicon's fooling me. Urgh.

Leaving aside Snowvon for the moment, Fluff's wall and the Plotless/Sloth/Titus connection stand out. Let's address those.

    Titus: Could you explain this:
    and your scum reads, please?

Fluff: 1.Sloth is completely capable of asking questions and having reads as scum. It seems strange that he's your top town read based on that alone. Could you quote an actual post that makes you think he's town and explain why?
    2. Again, "substance" seems to be your default when deciding whether to town!read Von. Why did you think Titus wasn't wagoned?
    3. I tunnel people. You also know this. Why does that effect your read?
    4. Why did you like Plotless before your reread?
    5. Why is Jpzh2d on the towny side of sleb when you only attacked his play? Further, why are you attacking him for saying that Rubicon's actions were scummy but he's not certain Rubicon is scum? The statement is wholly consistent.
    6. Do you seriously get nothing from Citrus's, Atum's and Waco's posts?

Rubicon: Does anything in post 105 strike you as odd?

    TerRaine: Here, have a raindow.

    Fontisian
    Xanidel
    LuckyLee
    Pinky
    Terraine
    Rubicon
    Citrus
    Atum
    Jpzh2d

    his fluffiness
    The Waco Kid
    Sloth
    Plotless

    Titus
    Snowvon

I expect some of those reads will be able to solidify the positions of the others later in the Day.

I'm not especially picky about the method, but you are more useful alive if you're town.

She's pretty firm town to me.

There was nothing for her to gain in reading me as town. She could have sat back and let the masses railroad my ass if she was scum.

It's pretty simple to see that I'm town, but only if one looks past the abrasive exterior. A lot of people don't like doing that.

That she did and saw the townieness shining underneath tells me that she's actively hunting scum and not just looking for the easy lynches.

Something something white-knighting she could already know you're town etc.

I can't really have a solid read on her until I know what kind of surprise she thinks she has for me. I'm still annoyed she's going to drag it out for another week, or however long it is until midDay.

Something something motivation something nothing to gain something.

Who's she gonna impress by defending me against a railroad on d1?

What does she have to gain by WK'ing me?

It would be far more beneficial to let everybody railroad me because I was basically a mislynch waiting to happen until she spoke up.

WK'ing is far more prevalent when there is a counterwagon to direct votes onto. There was no such counterwagon, nor did she introduce one in the process.

I must not be who you think I am, or you'd know I'm town by now.

Or you do know I'm town, and you're simply scum.

    Either way, yes I have.

    Hmm.

    Two things:
    1. The distinction between "scum" and "scummy" is a strange one for a newbie to have a solid grasp of, as Jpzh2d has here.
    2. Describing the Rubicon's intro thread as generally awesome is weird when he used it as part of a justification for his vote here:

She's probably going to get you to townread/sheep her. You are more useful to her that way alive.

Or you're right and she could just be town defending a townread. For me, that remains to be seen.

    Okay.

I had a reason to think she might be scum, but it's super weak so I'm going to save it.

    Xanidel, let's play a game.

I want you to list the first four names that come to mind when you see the word 'scum,' with very brief reasons, if you can.
