I actually had the strong urge to punch Barry myself when he had that goofy grin on his face during the disaster that was the meeting with Iris.

I mean shit. How dumb is this guy?

The whole 'struck by lightning explains Barry's behavoir' thing also seemed pretty dumb.
It was a pretty obvious fib and Eddie, an relatively experienced cop, can't see through it?
Really liked the rest of the episode, though.

Huh. I just looked it up and apparently that's a real thing.
Makes it a bit more believable. Still, it seemed pretty obvious Caitlin was lying, though maybe Eddie doesn't know her that well enough that he can tell easily.

Consider my previous statement retracted, I suppose.

For the record, if I get struck by lightening and survive, I'm blaming a shit ton of my fuck ups on it.

The only thing Arrow does by being there is become a liability. RF should have zero qualms about hand-shanking him. Seriously. Arrow v RF is not going to be the same as Arrow v F.

Well, Ra's al Ghul does want Ollie to take his place and is going around the city dressed up as the Arrow. Maybe Ra's stole Ollie's costume, leaving a League outfit in its place... the sneaky bastard. :)

    Last two episodes:

Yeah, Iris and Barry are both becoming less likeable through this. Both are cheating on their partners and proving to be untrustworthy in that regard.

I really dislike the position Iris is in and all the plot points connected to her. This weird love triangle that no one wanted to see, her being excluded from the whole Flash gig and all the problems that brings with it, her being forced into returning Barry's feelings deep down because that's the canon pairing and they have to shoehorn it in somehow, her job putting her in this weird position to the Flash crew, all those decisions culminate in her parts of the show being the undesirable ones.

While I fully understand Eddy and yeah, Barry had it coming big time, it is rather unprofessional to clock a coworker on a crime scene while on duty. Time and place.

That said, Eddy, so far is really a truly good guy, reasonable, nice, dependable. Would hate for him to go villain for a halfbaked reason such as his gf breaking up with him. Or him going villain at all, isn't the point of an adaptation to try new things? Always hated how these things often clung to even the bad parts of the source material, as if they were perfect.

I really don't get those three jokers with the guns. That's all they have, three guns. One is a flamethrower, one goldify's people apparently (yeah, it shoots solid gold, that's why one should use the weapon to commit crimes, not sell the gold and get rich) and one freezes, which, admittedly, has some combat applications. Still, none of these makes them a one man army or invincible, what they clearly think they are. It just sucks that obvious plot armor defends them from bullets.

Wells, Cisco and Caitlin are really the three people carrying the show for me, love all three.

I wouldn't call it 'awesome' because it was rather bland at times, but it was certainly solid. We learn some new stuff, and the fight was awesome, and Eddy is in on it now. Plot thickens, as they say.

I like how the clarified once and for all Wells's character. They're really mixing the storylines between Arrow and Flash, a lot more than I thought they'd be, based on the previews, which I thought was the most exciting part of the show.

I worry, however, that Flash is going to make the same mistake "Tomorrow People" made and advance the plot too far, too fast.

Okay, I really enjoyed this episode. As Jim Butcher said, every villain voiced by Mark Hamill is worth defeating, and while the Trickster itself wasn't anything special, and neither was his plan, but Hamill was still awesome with this role.

    Especially him saying
    I am your father
was so incredibly awesome, I laughed pretty hard. Some might find it cheesy though.
As to the rest, well, not really liking this "twist" (at least for those, like me, not familiar with the Flash mythos). I just hope this doesn't mean that Well's actor is going to replaced somewhere along the line because I like him way more than I do that dude playing Eddie's relative. Maybe they will separate, still, until now, there had been something ambiguous with Well's character and now he is just another villain, which is a pity. Although I am curious if that means that the Flash that he was fighting was another Flash and not Barry.
Also, the biggest issue that I had, is it me, or did they get the order of events wrong? That journalist disappearing should not have been something so damning that Barry was so utterly and completely convinced that Wells had something to do with this all. I feel that he turned too quickly on him. It should have happened after this episode, after he kinda revealed himself to knowing how it felt to run like the Flash. After this, he should have been convinced or at least be incredibly suspicious.

Heck, even Cisco and Caitlin should have been suspicious, since that was a pretty big clue and those two are supposed to be smart. Maybe they will start their own investigation again in the next episode.

I was actually somewhat impressed by Mark Hamill's acting. A few places I thought he crossed the line into a little cheese, but saying "I am your father" wasn't one of them, I laughed pretty hard. I also caught the real smile that showed up on his lips an instant before he morphed it into the crazy grin of his character.

Barry got suspicious because not long ago he'd been told that whatshisface was investigating, and was close to actually nailing, Wells. Doesn't take a genius.

I don't see how the original Wells and Thawne could ever possibly be separated. Unless I missed something drastic I thought it was made fairly clear that Thawne murdered him via forcible face theft.

    From the producers:
So the real Wells has been dead for 15 years, but "part of his consciousness" still exists inside Thrawne. It wasn't just a future facelift, there's something more to it.

Barry knows nothing about whatshisface the reporter, so, he doesn't know if he was telling the truth at all. The guy might have been suspicious for good reason, but he might as well have been fishing. Taking what a reporter says, who wants information on your boss, at face value doesn't seem to be all that smart.

The disappearance might also not be connected to Wells, in fact, as far as Barry knows, Wells didn't know anything about this journalist investigating him, since in this timeline, not even Barry was told.

I get that it is suspicious, but it shouldn't have evoked this "I know he's guilty" from Barry, who went from seeing Wells as a mentor to being dead certain that Wells is 1000% guilty.

For that, I feel, Wells talking Barry into phasing to be a much more damning piece of evidence/reason to suspect.

Huh, so, I guess that's that. I still hope the actor of Wells/Thawne stays on.

Huh, color me surprised then. It honestly looked like Wells died, not that Thawne absorbed him.
