Better. Problem is, #3 assumes 2 is true when it might not be. 6 and 1 are given, but 4 (and therefore 5) is behaviorally based, which while a decent chance is no guarantee. So overall, I'd lean 65/35 towards scum, not enough for me to vote him at this time. Thanks for your patience.

    He should know.

And fonti's case on Snowvon makes perfect sense. What's your beef with it?

Pinky: You expressed doubt when I first made it. Why did you change your mind?

He also disagreed with you and said Snowvon was town. Yup.

3 doesn't follow from 2. 6 can be eliminated by the same reasoning as 5. Nothing in the argument is enough to keep Snowvon from being the shining beacon of obvious town that he is, thank god.

Also, I'm very friendly and polite at all times.

Of course 3 follows from 2. Von and I received our pms before the game officially started and he was very excited, as he always is, to begins the game. There's no way he didn't read the whole thing.

Further, it's unlikely that you didn't read your whole pm while knowing that Mathblade posted pms in the signup thread. It's increasing unlikely that you didn't bother to check the rest of Mathblade's sample pms (which show that the bodygaurd is in fact not informed in his pm that he is notified when he is roleblocked) if you actually were trying to figure out if I had read them. If you had, you would have realized that I hadn't read those sample pms and wouldn't have bothered to bring them up. You didn't bother because you are scum who already knows I probably got my information from my own role pm.

What exactly is "6 can be eliminated by the same reasoning as 5" supposed to mean?

I'm vouching for the fact that I did not read my role PM in any significant detail beyond the role and link to the QT. If I can do that, Von can do that. Excitement really has nothing to do with it.

A person who knows how Von plays as a PR also knows how he plays as mafia, and this clearly isn't it. If Von is mafia, he is playing dramatically different from any previous game. If we assume he can change his meta that much in the space of 1-2 games, then 5 also falls apart.

Over the last few months, Von and I have played a couple dozen Resistance games irl, and he noticable improved over them. You are assuming he is stagnantly bad at playing scum and that is simply untrue.

You are not Von. I think Von is a lot closer to my mindset, where skipping over pertinent details in a role pm (especially when a shiny word like "roleblock" immediately sticks out) is moronic.

Snowvon has improved a lot at mafia, but this is still very, very obviously his town game. I still have a few tells that he doesn't know about, and I'm quite certain he isn't fooling me.

You should try to lynch me if you think I'm one of the mafias.

Why bother with Snowvon when you can have me? If we're both scum, clearly eliminating me first is the way to go.

Titus would probably switch over, and Lord knows I'm never going to get lynched with just Pinky pushing me.

(The above is rhetorical. I know why you prefer Snowvon over me. :p)

Hi, I'm town, whenever you're ready to wake up and notice.

Sometimes I start to townread Pinky, but then he says weird things and I have to reevaluate my life.

Also I feel like I'm being super WK'd right now, but. Eh.

fontisian does get unnervingly excited when I die in any game we play together, be it mafia or Go Fish or whatever.

Isn't it obvious? Von is caught scum. You could just being playing weirdly.

Here's the thing. Von's a big boy. He can defend himself. Rubicon shouldn't have had to say Von might have not read the pm. Von could have easily said that himself.

But he didn't, because he's deliberately avoiding engaging the points in the hope that I'll magically go away.

I'm not going to say anything about my PM (at least while I'm not at L-1 under threat of hammer) because you're still rolefishing.

fontisian, your points are so boring, they could be cast as the main characters on a reboot of the West Wing.

Day 1 Vote Count (as of post 553)

Snowvon(3): The Waco Kid, fontisian, Lucky Lee

    Rubicon(1): Pinky
    Titus (2): Xanidel, Citrus
    his fluffiness(2): Sloth, Terraine
    The Waco Kid(1): Snowvon
    Lucky Lee (1): his fluffiness
    Citrus(1): Jpzh2d
    fontisian(2): Rubicon, Titus

    Not Voting: Atum, Plotless

It takes 8 to lynch with 15 alive. Day 1 ends at : http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...ND&csz=1&swk=1 or when 8 people vote a player. D1 is almost half way. Next warning at approximately 4 days.

Mod notes: Sloth VLA as long as needed/wanted. Tentative Tuesday.

About the current announcement in mafia GD, for whoever is picked to represent Dark Lord Potter I will be more lenient about the prodding for them (regardless of their alignment/role etc in this game) as that will take a lot of activity. I will generally poke if it has been more than 4 days of non posting here instead of the two. I figure whoever gets picked knows to keep up activity anyway but I wanted to be transparent in what I decide. They will still have to submit night actions (if any) by the appropriate deadline. I will not contribute to the discussion as I'm moderating so that's all I'll say about it. But go whoever gets nominated! :D

    Nope.

There's a small list of players (you, fontisian, lyrium, a few others from MS) that I feel I can read with >95% accuracy based on meta.

If I decide one of those players is town, I fight to keep them alive as long as possible.

If I decide one of them is scum, I put everything I have into getting them lynched.

Psh, make up your mind already.

You adore CJ Cregg. Don't lie to me.

And Von dear, I know that you know, if you were town and I scum I would know exactly what your role is by now.

    There we go.

I will admit, I made a mistake. Didn't realize that the role pms were in the signups and that the bodyguard isn't informed. Eh, live and learn.

If we reach end game and I'm dead, one of you people better make sure Von sticks to that claim.
