The thing that's bothering me with the way the day ended is Xanidel. Given Pinky's #874 ("willing to change if ness"), it seems a little weird than Xanidel went from being overly committed to making sure we didn't "stall out"

to these posts at the end of Day 1

Where he declines to place a vote to allow a lynch to happen. I know he said he had Fontisian as a town lean, and as a new player I understand there's hesitance because of that. It's the attitude swing that bothers me. Would Pinky have hammered at that point, we don't know. But we would have learned more if he had been forced to make the decision.

 

Because from any perspective but mine, a no lynch was worse than a possible scum lynch there.

Fonti wasn't at L1 so...Im not really sure what the issue with him not voting fonti was.

Why would Scum!Pinky care about pocketing you if I can just get rid of you and be that much closer to victory? Hell, I clearly thought that your death would have been a scum victory.

Even if it wasn't, that's one less townie, and it'd have painted Rubicon in a really crap light if you flipped town.

Waco I've given my opinion on.

JP and Atum I will have to look into more since my wall. Its harder for me to read people when their post count is lower.

I'll be the first to admit I thought there was a lot more meat to that read wall.

JP - Town read. Like I said in my earlier read wall. I like his start against you Rubicon. I don't think he's right via meta reasons but his logic is sound. It's an easy trap for new town to fall into. I like his distinction between calling people scum and finding their actions scummy. I got the feeling he was not going tofall into the conf bias I tend to do because he's leaving the margin for error in his read.

He's calling out plays inconsistencies (Titus in 398) and prodding them for answers. Titus ended up being town but this was early enough in the game that this was a good question.

I like his case against fonti in 493 regarding her prodding Snow about his role.

All in all I'm seeing a low quantity of higher quality posts. He's scum hunting...he's pressuring his reads without tunnel visioning himself out of seeing other activity.

Waco - Just past null into slight scum. As I said bleh to 170. There's occasionally spots of pressure (205 against pinky) but he's mostly focused on Snowvon for figuring out game mechanics. His rainbow wall in 468 doesn't give much to me because there aren't reasons behind any of them. He's asking what others think of players which seems lazy when he hasn't posted his own reads.

Then we have the 496 wall which redeems him a little bit in my eyes. We finally get some reads on people instead of him asking everyone else what their thoughts are. He seems to honestly be conf biasing Snow though because he's missing the fact that other players have missed some of the same stuff snow has (myself included) and that is a big part of his case against snow.

It finally breaking 656 but I can't tell if its broken conf bias or scum back tracking.

Basically he falls in the camp that if he was a choice at day end I wouldn't be gnashing my teeth but it's not as strong as other reads for me.

Atum - Moderate scum read. Low activity. Bane of my reading ability because people tend to fall off my radar. Atum poses a few good questions here and there (276's prodding of fluff regarding his read on pinky). Though I will say his reads don't have a lot of meat to them at the start (367 regarding titus)

He seems to be hitting a bit more substance with his questions by 574 in prodding fonti on something and explaining his read on citrus. But seems is the key word because again that one read he gives doesn't seem to have any examples to back up his claims. He was very focused on Citrus.

But then we get to his rainbow wall...he's been very focused on Citrus 90% of the game...but Plotless is his scummiest read. I don't even recall him having mentioned Plotless before this point....and he votes for Fonti who is his scummiest null?
