Is anyone playing this on the PS4? I just bought it and it keeps crashing once I encounter the third wave of enemies in The Wrath of Heaven mission. Has anyone else encountered the same problem and if so, know of any fixes?

 

Have you downloaded all the current patches? I think the PS4 works the same in that it forces patch downloads but need to be certain.

As for the waves, are you reloading from a quick save point? If you are try loading from a saved game file if you have one.

If that doesn't work, I would try making a new character same as that one and see of the game hangs again, if not then carry on and save it after the mission then delete the older file. Because your not very far along as it stands.

Then just my advice from my first play through at launch save across two to three files just in case some bug acts up your not completely screwed.

 

Updating and loading from a save didn't do jack , but creating a new character seems to have done the trick. Haven't had the game freeze again. Thanks for the tip.

 

My first thought when I saw Dorian was "Hey, he looks like a gay porn-star". And what do you know, you can romance him with a male character...

 

Yes. And? He's gay.

 

My first thought was that he looked like a stylish gentleman. And after I heard him talk I took an instant liking to him. One of the coolest companions.

 

Found Inquisition campaign way to easy. Blackwall, 3 mages (Dorian, Solas, PC) -> profit.

 

I found it easy as well, I specialized as Knight Enchanter and I was practically unkillable.

 

First spec was Rift Mage. And once you weakened the bosses with the spells, their resistances against all the elements didn't matter (I had 3 mages with different elemental specs) and they dropped like flies. Loved the Rift -> Static Cage -> Chain Lightning Combo.

It helped that I got three powerful staves pretty early. Think I killed the Hinterlands dragon with a level 10 party and did the landmark quest for Tyrddas Staff. Finished all the Hinterlands quests so I was pretty overleveled and overpowered for most of the campaign.

 

The one thing I didn't like about the items in the game was that those weapons and armors you crafted were infinitely better than what you could get from looting bosses and dragons.

 

What you do if you want to powerlevel is not touch a book until you have all 4 influence perks that increase codex XP. Then you hit them all at once and gain like 4 levels.

 

Favorite character this DA potentially, witty banter in the conversations was actually decent.

 

It was a tie for me between Bull and Dorian. Bull probably wins out though because Dorian's necromancer AI is fucking stupid.

If anyone wants a challenge, go back to Origins and fight Ser Cauthrien one on one - no tricks, no traps.

So, Black Emporium drops tomorrow for free, if I read things correctly, and they may be announcing another DLC sometime soon, I think? not sure about that last bit. Oh well, at least the new Kirkwall throne looks fucking awesome, and the owl throne ain't too bad either. Maybe we'll finally see some new skyhold outfits beyond pajamas?

 

Wasn't that a DLC in DA2?

 

Yep, now they're doing an iteration for DAI. It's apparently free, so no reason not to get it. /shrug.
